This audiobook is an excellent resource for parents seeking to build a stronger and more meaningful relationship with their children. Tools that focus on empathy, independence, and resilience are provided to help foster specific support in these areas for children. The excellent examples can be duplicated and integrated into real-life situations. Significant time was spent organizing well-researched data that is trustworthy to utilize. The tools in this guidebook will help elevate self-confidence and improve empowerment. This guidebook is highly recommended for parents to get their children off to the best start for success, happiness, and survival in today's world.

VERY HELPFUL IMPORTANT INFORMATION

As a mother of 2, I frequently experience strong emotions. On a regular basis, my annoyances mount, and I am less inclined to empathize with my kids. I appreciate that the author discusses how to help your child develop empathy and independence. Empathy has been lost in our culture today as we prioritize our needs over those of others. This book assists parents in comprehending the emotional requirements of their kids so that they can assist the latter in concentrating on the requirement to comprehend their own emotions. Parents who connect with their kids can teach them how to manage interpersonal interactions, react gently and compassionately, and use problem-solving techniques.

Lots of Great Information

This informative audiobook has 50 short chapters. Each one is packed with tips for nurturing your child and helping him or her develop bounce-back skills that help them navigate social situations and build meaningful relationships. The importance of modeling the behavior you want your child to learn is stressed often. I liked Ms. Novais' advice about developing a healthy and balanced relationship with technology which is so important for young people to practice as they become more independent. I love the recommendation about recognizing your child’s accomplishments and celebrating your parenting journey. It's easy for a parent to forget about that last part. Sometimes it feels like an impossible task but the theme of resilience throughout this audiobook shows you it is not. Highly recommended.

This book covers almost everything one can think of and how to overcome these things while still encouraging and building a solid foundation in children. An essential guide for parents of kids of any age!

One of things I appreciated most about this audiobook is that it is based in theories and best practices in the field of childhood development that also encourage the listener to take action. I have five young nieces and nephews (who I treat like my own kids) and will be starting a family of my own soon, and I found this book invaluable as I try to foster their independence and help them cope with the challenges that life throws their way. Yes, parenting is complex and there is no roadmap or guidebook, but this book serves as a great help and a template of sorts. The audio was also fantastic and easy to follow along with. Bravo and definitely recommend!

Resilience is key

Among the countless parenting books out there, few really hit one the importance of building resilience and independence in our families in a way that is as practical as this.

Novais displays the imperative parenting duties of installing empathic traits in our young ones that will ensure they grow into caring and nurturing adults.

I wish resilience like this was instilled in me at a young age.

The strategies are actionable, practical, powerful, and not to be missed. I would recommend this audio for any parent looking to improve in this area of their life and give their children a better start in terms of emotions, empathy, and resilience.
