Unto the Tenth Generation....

Must we atone for our ancestors’ sins?

Conrad’s 11x great grandfather has been haunting his house since 1622, keeping a secret and biding his time. A secret that spells trouble for the world of magick.

The King’s Watch want to Summon him. The keepers of the secret don’t want that to happen.
They unleash a fire Mage to stop the summoning and don’t care who dies on the way.
And when Spectre Thomas finally makes an appearance, he passes the guilt of old sins on to Conrad’s shoulders. Wild, dark magick is on the loose, and Conrad has to carry the burden of tracking it down.

With death and destruction on all sides, his problems have multiplied. Tenfold.

Another enjoyable read!

The story blends fantasy, mystery and great characters into an entertaining escape from the mundane. The narrator provides added dimension with his timing, inflection and ability to develop the characters through voice. Definitely recommend this book!

What a fun time together!

This has become one of my favorite series. Great stories and such a good narrator.

Filler content, but i'm sticking through

Of all the books so far, this is the one that seemed the most in place to drive a couple of major events that don't resolve any of the major plotpoints from earlier books (though they do build and elaborate on them signficantly). Unlike the previous books, there isn't any major self-contained story in this, and the main character still has a frustrating tendency to go into overwhelming situations with minimal contigency and increasinly predictable problems crop up.

I am hopeful (neigh, I pray to Odin) that the next book will be richer.

Ciaran Saward has by far been the best thing about this series so far and I will be looking to find more of their narration in the future.
