About this listen

I'm finally coming to terms with the fact I can speak to animals, even though the only one who ever talks back is the crabby tabby I've taken to calling Octo-Cat. What I haven't quite worked out is how to hide my secret....

Now one of the associates at my law firm has discovered this strange new talent of mine and insists I use it to help defend his client against a double murder charge. To make things worse, Octo-Cat has no intention of helping either of us.

Our only hope rests on a spastic Yorkie named Yo-Yo, who hasn't quite figured out his owner is dead. Can we find a way to get Yo-Yo to help solve the murder without breaking his poor doggie heart?

Fan

Great book. Loving the cat and his sayings. Love the narrators and the author. On to the next mystery and a crazy cat. Maybe there will be a romance starting.

More of a cat involved mystery fan

But it was good. Thanks for the listen. Will continue with the books. They aren’t too bad.

Fun listen

This is fun series. The main character does fall into the "too stupid to live" category, but she's really likable so I don't mind much. Both books I've listened to so far have decent mysteries.
Quick, fun listens!

I liked the sassy cat

Good light mystery with fun characters. The plot was twisted enough you couldn’t guess it

One Spectacular Cat

My aunt bought this book for me to read over the Thanksgiving break. It was great. I love the attitude of the cat, it's so much like my TOBY. Not that he would have the energy to solve anything except the location of his food bowl. The mystery was exciting and the new PI 's brush with death kept me waiting to learn how the cat and Grandmother would save her this time. For a small town it seems to be populated with some greedy, unsavory characters. The book is very entertaining and I kept reading ( well listening till it was done). I think it should be added to the reading list for school. At least there would be fun while doing the assignment!!

childish

I enjoyed the first book a bit more. This one seemed like it was written for third graders. Narrator sounded whinny.

Decent Followup to First One

This second one in the series left me a little wanting. It just didn’t seem to have the intensity that the other books have, and I also felt like the murder suspect came out of left field. There was so little mention of them in the book that I was like ok.

The best part of these books is Angie and her family to include Octo-Cat. I love how her mom gave her more time versus just going off and doing what her mom had already planned to do. I love how Angie’s grandmother is supportive of Angie and her willingness to assist where needed.

Angie was a little judgmental and jumped to conclusions because of her own feelings and didn’t really want to entertain other possibilities. Overall, a decent sequel to the first book and the heroine isn’t annoying me yet which is my usual for cozy mysteries.

Cat Whisperer Finds Murderer

I like cozy mysteries, but this one is a little too far off the charts for me. The voice is like a middle schooler and the lady has such a weird relationship with her cat that I can hardly bear it. Not to mention her crush on the lawyer. Just not quite enough "meat" to the story for my taste.
