A Texas reunion turns old rivals into soon-to-be parents.

For as long as the O'Briens have run their ranch, their rivals have been the McCabes. So when Ryder O'Brien returns home to his brothers, only one thing can screw things up: getting involved with Faith McCabe. There's no temptation greater in Texas, and Ryder is about to pay the price for their forbidden fling. Just as their passion ignites, Faith up and leaves, only to return five months later, seeking Ryder's help finding her missing brother and pregnant with Ryder's baby.

Ryder O'Brien may have held grudges longer than he ought to, but he always does right by his kin, especially when the woman about to change his life is in danger.

Great story!

This story was a really good listen. I had previously read the paperback of it and was excited to experience the audio version. As before, I love how things worked out for Celeste and Nicholas along with Faith and Ryder. Families truly do come in all shapes and sizes. I don't feel bad for Faith's mother and Jessie, her brother. I think they made their own beds. However, having said that, I do understand how they could be pushed to do some extreme things, especially after seeing what her father was truly capable of. The author did a fantastic job writing this story. It was exciting, kept me guessing, had just the right amount of drama, romance, suspense and mystery. Although I was correct when I guessed who was responsible for Nicholas's kidnapping/disappearance, I wasn't expecting her father's role in the ending of the story. The author kept me guessing for the most part and kept me interested, which I've learned recently isn't always possible. I will also add that I liked the narrator, even if her exaggerations of certain situations was a bit farfetched. Off to listen to the next book.
