About this listen

The challenges teens face today are tougher than at any time in history: academic stress, parent communication, media bombardments, dating drama, abuse, bullying, addictions, depression, and negative peer pressure, just to name a few. And like it or not, the choices teens make while navigating these challenges can make or break their futures.

In The 6 Most Important Decisions You'll Ever Make, Sean Covey gives teens the strong advice they need to make informed and wise decisions. Using real stories from teens around the world, Sean shows how to succeed in school, make good friends, get along with parents, wisely handle dating and sex issues, avoid or overcome addictions, build self-esteem, and much more. This innovative audiobook will help teens not only survive, but thrive during their teen years and beyond.

The six key decisions are:

  • School: What you going to do about your education?
  • Friends: What types of friends will you choose, and what kind of friend will you be?
  • Parents: Are you going to get along with your parents?
  • Dating and Sex: Who will you date, and what will you do about sex?
  • Addictions: What will you do about the addictive stuff?
  • Self-Worth: Do you like yourself?

Although the audio is directed to teens, The 6 Most Important Decisions will give parents helpful insight on how to boost their kids' confidence, allowing them to become happier and more productive individuals.

    Greatly needed

As an FNP and now pediatric mental health specialist (PMHS) I plan on recommending this book to all my teens and parents. I wish I had read it when I was a teen. Will have my kids at home read it too. What a great guide for young people in this tumultuous world.

One of the most enriching books I've come across

I think everyone should have this book so as to look into themselves to begin a process of positive change in their lives, no matter where in life you are right now.
These decisions are foundational and should be on everyone's mind as he/she works to be the best they were designed to be.

    Weird...

The narrator said that the people who read their stories are the actual people who it happened to....pretty sure I hear the same dude read 3 different stories. Maybe he had really messed up teenage years idk. I had to read this for school and answer questions and write an essay for each decision. It was alright, but I disagree with some of the things he says. Like “no sex before marriage,” but marriage is something religious which not everyone shares that belief. Anyways this was an easy elective to take but I wouldn’t recommend this book to any teen LOL.
