Sweet, lovable pups and their dirty master

I wasn’t able to leave a review on each book individually unless I bought all 3 so this is gonna be a long one:

Narrator: Kenneth Obi was fabulous as always. I’ll never not be amazed at his talent for different voices and I’m so sad we won’t get to hear him lend his voice to new characters and worlds anymore 🥺

Prequel and Book 1: 3.75/5

It started off very slow. Not “slow burn” slow. Just slow and repetitive. Many things were over stated and it took too long for the plot to move forward in my opinion. Like several chapters that covered only 1 or 2 days of activity. If this was suspense/thriller, I’d get it. But for a low-angst romance, it made it hard to keep my interest. I almost quit but I was just interested enough to persevere. I’m glad I did! Once they connected over the phone though, the rest of the book was FANTASTIC! The puppy play was so damn adorable and I love Cooper so much. I can’t tell if Sawyer is a bit of a hater or just overly anxious and caring about what others think, but his personality annoys me a little sometimes. Jackson started out a little judgy to me but it was rooted in ignorance and quickly took to the lifestyle after researching. These three seem to compliment each other well!

Book 2: 4.3/5
I loved everyone just a little bit more in this book! It kept my interest throughout despite it being low-angst. I got so into it, I barely noticed it was about to end. I’m super proud of Sawyer and how brave he was and Cooper is as lovable as ever. Jackson is so perfect for them and they’re perfect for him. The dirty talk was really good if you love praise kink (I fall on the other end of that spectrum 😈) overall, it’s super sweet but not so sweet that it’s unbelievable.

Book 3 and Orlando Short: 4.4/5
This series came to a sweet, if not predictable, end. I hoped the brief conflict that came up would add some angst, but it didn’t and was resolved quickly and without issue (boo 😔). The short at the end was a surprise but functions as an epilogue. Spice level here is about the same as the others.

The series overall: 4.15/5
I love reading about puppy play. The dynamics are always so sweet and give me the same joy I get from reading about littles/middles and their daddies. The overall plot was very low angst and I wish I had known that before starting. It wasn’t bad by any means. I just need the adrenaline that comes with high angst plots or impact scenes. I’d recommend this to anyone who enjoys low angst, BDSM- lite reads

Kenneth Obi gave life to this puppy play series

This is a great series. It’s a three book series with basically a long prologue and epilogue. The audible is over 20 hours so it took me some time to listen to it. It’s well worth it, for the story and the narration by Kenneth Obi. He deftly brought out Cooper’s exuberance, Sawyer’s earnestness, and Jackson’s hesitance.

Two pups looking for a master. A misplaced ad causes a man to totally change his life and that of two sweet men who desperately need a master to complete them.

The books contained some BDSM and puppy play. So much sweet puppy play!

love this series

Did the story keep me engaged: yes - from the start of the first novella - to the end of the last !
Were there any parts I found annoying: no
Did I feel an emotional connection to the characters: yes
Would I listen to it again: yes - in a heart-beat !

I originally purchased these books individually and am so happy the novella's have been added and the books have been bundled together into one giant puppy pile!

I originally bought Book 1 because I liked the look of the cover - I'd never read puppy play before, I didn't understand it and it wasn't really my thing. I'm so very glad I did - it was absolutely delightful. The puppy play is so subtlety and respectfully written - I bought the other two audio's and the e-book set and binged them all over the course of a week.

Sawyer and Cooper are endearing and Jackson is charming, the whole thing makes for a delightful story, makes me smile and laugh and that's all I want for my entertainment value.

Kenneth Obi's narration is spectacular. The voices and personalities of the characters are consistently and perfectly narrated and adds to the audio experience.

Sexy, funny and hits in the feels

5 stars

Narration: Kenneth Obi…umm loved his voice! He had a great flow and moved the story along wonderfully. I had goosebumps doing the sexy-times as he read. I’ll be looking for more of his narrations after writing this!
Books in the audio file:
Family by Fate (prequel)
The Accidental Master
Master by Choice

Family in Love

Story: This is a kink book series…hands-down. The main theme is puppy-play, so be warned.
I was given the whole series in one audio file, so it took a bit to get through it (20 hours and 31 minutes), but wow, it was worth it. It was cute, playful, and had some HOT sex scenes that had me blushing at work!

Ugh, who do I start with? I loved all three of these guys. Cooper was an energetic guy and pup who stole some of the scenes with his cheeky behavior. But Sawyer stole my heart as the stable, quiet guy who just needed cuddles. Then Jackson, the Master who had no idea he had a hidden kink!

I laughed so hard listening to the debacle that was Jackson’s sister mixing up the Facebook adds. But he meets Sawyer and Cooper in the whole mess.

Sawyer and Cooper are younger guys trying to make their way through life with no family help. Sawyer’s dad had him out of the house the day after graduation after trying when he turned 18 during school, so he knew it was coming. Cooper had no idea and was blind-sided by his nasty parents, who acted like everything was perfect up to the minute they threw him out because of his puppy kink.

I think Jackson was the perfect option for them as a dog trainer! Cooper was just too filled with energy for anything less lol. The story is a gradual build into a wonderful three-way relationship. Even the boys had started as friends for years through high school before finding themselves as family and lovers after graduation. And they folded Jackson into the relationship in a very real and believable way.

Oh, and the sex scenes…there are a lot of them, and they’re smoking hot!

I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.
