You Can Definitely Learn Something

What made the experience of listening to The Art of War the most enjoyable?

The different approaches Sun Tzu provided to win a battle.

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Art of War?

How it can be helpful/needed to be deceitful to win a battle and how incredible people become when they have their back against the wall.

What three words best describe Mike Borris’s voice?

Deep, Captivating, Appropriate

If you could give The Art of War a new subtitle, what would it be?

Secrets to win

Any additional comments?

This book though useful and knowledgeable, is a little outdated by nowadays war standards. It still provides good guidance about the basis needed to succeed and win wars/life. The ones I kept in mind were use of deception, discipline, rigorous training, and no true place for divine interventions.

there's a reason people still read this book!

that's great just to see the thought put into different scenarios and although War may not be fought and exactly the same way the constructs are timeless. the last couple chapters were All Music would seem to bit odd.

It was very good, up until…

The book itself was great. But an hours worth of flute music? Come on, really? Other than that, I enjoyed the spoken material and would listen to it again.

nice.

The information was great and useful but I could've done without the drawn out music in the end.

Surprise change

Any additional comments?

The actual voice of narration is NOT the one in the sample nor is it as good. Although the voice in the actual narration was ok, the voice in the sample was what got me to buy it.

Classic comes to life

I enjoy this classic over and over. It's simple in presentation but powerful information. Even if you have read it give it a listen. I love the journey my mind takes every time I hear it!

it was ok

the last 5 or 6 chapters is just music. I think this book could have been read with more of a story telling voice to make it more interesting. I was very monotonous.

One of the Classics

Would you listen to The Art of War again? Why?

This is a classic book that I kept postponing until now. Interesting read but a one time read for me. The performance was really good by Mike Borris.

Edition narrated by Mike Borris

Shows length as 1:50. Text is about half the length. When you get to about chapter 25, annoying flute music starts playing, and that is all there is to the end of the book.
