The heroes of Rogue Squadron are desperate to liberate the planet, and free prisoners trapped by Isard, only to find their plans foiled by the politics of the New Republic, which is set on assigning the squadron elsewhere. With timing and resources running short, Wedge Antilles, Corran Horn, and the other rogues have no choice but to resign from the New Republic.

The team must now go truly rogue to chip away at Isard's power, defeat her powerful complement of Star Destroyers, and free Thyferra from her iron rule. But when she discovers the Squadron's secret base, its pilots must scramble for survival in a winner-take-all battle against Isard's overwhelming and seemingly superior force.

these books are almost 30 years old, Star Wars came and went again after the sequels, but these are still entertaining and even with all the deux ex machina Stackpole uses, you get immersed in them, I only wished that the books ventured with the music to all of the other properties, even the ones that John Williams didn't write

Another fantastic unabridged legends book. The finale of the original Mike Stackpole run still holds strength. A fantastic novel with great characters. I can’t wait for more X-Wing rereleases.

I’m a huge Star Wars fan, but I struggle with a lot of legend material. The main exception has always been the Thrawn trilogy (well duh) However, the X-Wing series has now made it to a point I feel it can compete with the Thrawn trilogy. No spoilers, but the introduction of Talon in this made me smile ear to ear.
I believe Marc Thompson is a spectacular narrator. I often pic my books on whether or not he is the narrator.
Star Wars audiobooks have an amazing production quality to them that make them worth my time—every time.

You all were great to listen to at SWC 2022 in Anaheim. We all apprecthe artistry, work, and subtlety the goes into these audiobooks.

The author does a great job wrapping this series up (atleast temporarily) for atleast what he wanted with the story. As everyone knows there’s quite a few more books but the author changes after this book with Stackpole only writing a couple more in the series down the line. Great 4 books, hope to see the others in the legends collection as well.

Highly recommend these 4 books to any big star wars fan. I also highly recommend the next three books in this series, which have yet to have received unabridged audiobooks. Do us all a favor and please add them to the next wave of the essential legends collection.

I cannot stress just how good this series is!!! It’s a shame that all the books are not available immediately but they’re coming soon and I can’t wait to continue to read this series. Highly recommend!!
