About this listen

The international best-selling series with more than five million copies sold in the US alone!

Still far from their homeland after escaping slavery in the icebound land of Skandia, Will and Evanlyn's plans to return to Araluen are spoiled when Evanlyn is taken captive by a Temujai warrior. Though still weakened by the warmweed's toxic effects, Will employs his Ranger training to locate his friend, but an enemy scouting party has him fatally outnumbered.

Will is certain death is close at hand, until Halt and Horace make a daring, last-minute rescue. The reunion is cut short, however, when Halt makes a horrifying discovery: Skandia's borders have been breached by the entire Temujai army. And Araluen is next in their sights.

If two kingdoms are to be saved, an unlikely union must be made. Will it hold long enough to vanquish a ruthless new enemy? Or will past tensions spell doom for all?

The battles and drama are nonstop in audiobook four of this hugely popular epic.

Perfect for fans of J.R.R. Tolkien’s Lord of the Rings, T.H. White’s The Sword in the Stone, Christopher Paolini’s Eragon series, and George R. R. Martin’s Game of Thrones/a Song of Ice and Fire series.

Read all about it!

Loved it! I laughed and held my breath at the near misses. I love Tug!. Can't wait to read the next adventure in the series.

Great book as usual

I felt like there was a bit of a lack of emotion in this book. Story was till good... but also, I found it strange the the author seemed to bounce between POV, which he didn't do in the other books, which confused me at times. Maybe this one was rushed.

The battle was interesting and well written.

Simply Wonderful!

I have throughly enjoyed this series, but this is my favorite book by far. Such depth in the character development over series and what a great job introducing new lovable and hated characters! I wish I had these as a child.

Will continue reading

The whole series is a winner. I feel more comfortable with stories that play on VIking stereotypes. They are strong; they can take it.

Flanagan does it again.

This part of the Rangers Apprentice really brings things together. I don't want to spoil anything but I felt much better at the end. On to the next part of the adventure!!

Awsum archery/battle scenes

My dad was a hippy from Michigan, who married an island girl back in the early 1960's,so I grew up on a small south Pacific island, deep in the rainforest, with no TV or telephone. Before bed, dad would read these type stories to me and my brothers... This type audio books bring back alot of fond memories.
A+ story Mr. Flanagan and A+ telling Mr Keating.

I loved this Book

I learned a lot about loyalty, friendship and hardship. I also learned so much about courage, being willing to do hard things and overcome fear. Battle
Strategies and taking the time to prepare for things in our future and how important those strategies are. Thinking before acting and following the plan can change our lives.
