Publisher's summary

Seductively dark and irresistibly enchanting, the Beastly Trilogy is now available in one delectable omnibus!

Depravity - Benella is concerned with two things: avoiding the two village boys who torment her, and scrounging for food to help feed her family.

Unfortunately, the best wild fruit and vegetables are near the walls of the estate, a dark misty place inhabited by an unforgiving beast. When her tormentors lock her behind the massive gates, Benella knows her fate is sealed.

Yet, the fate isn’t one she expects. Her encounter with the beast starts a bizarre cycle of bargaining for her freedom - a freedom the beast seems determined to see her lose.

Deceit - Safely hidden within the estate’s enchanted walls, Benella no longer has time to fear her tormentors.

She’s too preoccupied attempting to determine what makes the beast so beastly. It might be the taxing visits from the aged enchantress who cursed him or his growing vexation at not being allowed to touch Benella. In order to gain her freedom, she must find a way to break the curse, but first, she must help him become a better man while protecting her heart.

Devastation - Abused and rejected, Benella strives to regain a purpose for her life and finds herself returning to the last place she ever wanted to see. She must learn when it is right to forgive and when it is time to move on.

Beastly Trials and Tribulations

I listened to this story all over the house. Love this version of Beauty and the Beast. Vastly different from the original. From a New Fan… Pam James.

Good read, loved it

It was a good book, good character development, and I loved the dynamic between them. The 3rd book was a little slow moving.

Insta-fave ❤

New author and narrator for me.
Loved this so much! It's one of those listens that I didn't want to pause, not even for one of those pesky obstructive tasks like sleep lol. This is an incredibly slow burn with a few hot scenes, but super high steamy tension.
#1 Depravity - Wow, this starts out dramatically and is more grimdark than anything. This is not a modern retelling and he is a beast in every sense of the word. The magic aspect is fun...and *coughs* I wonder about the threat of splinters 🤭🍆🌳
#2 Deceit - The plot thickens; the lifting of the curse requires much more. Omg I am loving how Benella goes about using her mind to figure things out ❤ and calculate on how to proceed. I HATE her sisters! 🤬
#3 Devastation - Wha? Benella's 16? Hell of an age gap 🤔 not sure how old he was when cursed for 50 years, maybe late teens? The curse has been lifted, but the lesson is still being learned. Poor Benella, she overthinks and thinks too little of herself 😔
Trigger warning for attempted rape.

Pleasantly Surprised. I don't Usually Like Reimagi

I am not a critic. I don't put tons of thought into my reviews. Very basic description whether i enjoyed it or not.
BUT I do listen and read a LOT of books. 2 credits a month aren't enough, so I've been trying to find good fantasy genre books in the free catalog.

I don't typically like reimagined Fairy Tails. This was a nice "grown up" version of Beauty and the Beast, although it was nothing like BATB as we know it, except for a curse and a man turned into a beast. I'm 40 yo and I still love the young adult fantasy (thanks Twilight, Divergent, The Host, and Hunger Games) but SO OFTEN they're full of whiney, agsty teenagers, super immature yet in very adult situations. Headaches from the eye rolling. Then I try the "adult fantasy" and all I'm reading is a lot of points, constant sex, sex that is just omg mind blowing. Not reality girl, sorry! This book had a few realistic sex scenes that didn't drag on and on. There were times that the female MC was too nice and accepting to be real. but the characters were easy to connect with in all 3 books. I found myself listening to all 3 books without fast forwarding. I gave all 5 stars because in my humble opinion, they are deserved. The narrator was great. She didn't sound whiney, nor did she sound too old for the characters.

Great book!

If you really like a mixture between beauty and the beast and Cinderella this is definitely for you. It has loyalty and betrayal and the romance is wonderful!

I think I’ve listened to this 100x

The story is well written and the narrator does an amazing job portraying each character’s personality.

My go to when I need a good quick re-read.
