Faith and Cole

Book 2 of The Billionaire's Marriage Trilogy. The book can be read as a stand-alone, but I recommend reading in order of the series to get the most out of it. Cole’s father is a billionaire, and in his will stated his sons must be married for one year to inherit their share in his company. .Cole decides to fake a marriage, by marrying his friend Faith with a pre-agreed upon one year then divorce. The stipulation in the will is overturned, however they realize their in love and go forward with the marriage. The narration was well done. Faith and Cole

Faith and Cole had a temporary marriage of convenience and they needed to stay married for at least one year. Since they were best friends before getting married, Faith could not refuse him, nor would she want to. This turns into the real thing. They made a great couple with lots of chemistry. JD Tomlinson did a great job with the narration; however, AJ Clarke did a good job. I received this free copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

The soul of romance .....

From heartache to forever is never smooth sailing, but Stowe brings the senses alive with her masterful characters. Cole and Faith seduce the heart with the unpredictable and the emotional twists that love takes them on. Through the eyes of these characters and the voices of Tomlinson and Clarke, we find the soul of romance.

Review

He falls in love with her but she's in already in love with him. The best arrangement is to get married temporarily, of course. Neither one of them knows the other's true feelings.

Sweet Friends to lovers fake romance!

This is the second book in The Billionaire's Marriage series. I like this series. Cole and Faith's friends to lovers fake romance is sweet and heartwarming. The story is beautifully written. JD Tomlinson and AJ Clarke did a good job bringing this story to life. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Temporary Marriage!

This is the second story in a series with connected characters and a connected will and testament. This is an interesting and intriguing read with a best friends and marriage of convenience to more plot. This is Cole and Faith's story. The two have grown up together and are best friends. His father's will stipulates he must marry and remain married for one year to gain shares in the company. Faith's mother has not let any of her girls live it down that she was cheated out of planning their sisters wedding. Cole decides he has the perfect solution for both of them. Faith has been in love with Cole for sometime so it is no hardship but what are the expectations? This is a good story and with some nice development, a touch of drama and misunderstandings.

Uneven Plot and Too Much Emphasis on Intimacy

This is the second audiobook I've listened to by this author, and so far, I'm not terribly impressed. The title and subtitle of this book are a bit misleading. While the idea of a temporary fake marriage is undoubtedly a theme, it doesn't actually happen. I’m not wild about what definitely seems to be a current contemporary romance trend: giving books misleading titles, evidently hoping to capture people who like particular tropes. The book's plot felt uneven. The author didn’t show these two as true friends much before things got intimate. Once they became intimate, that was all the story was about. The heroine was way too insecure about the hero, given how strong she appeared in other ways. If she could read a situation negatively, she would. She overreacts constantly and always assumes the worst. She doesn't even believe him when he speaks to her from his heart. It became tiresome after a bit. For some reason, some chapter titles were partly cut off, especially the ones by the male narrator. The author used the same couple, I believe, to narrate the series' first book. As in that one, I didn't think the female was a good choice because she sounded far too young, which made chapters by her—especially the ones detailing intimacy ad nauseam—a bit cringe-worthy.
