About this listen

This holiday season, join two of today’s most popular paranormal authors for a special look into their worlds, where creatures are always stirring and no one sleeps through the night.... The Bite Before Christmas

The Gift by Lynsay Sands: Teddy Brunswick knows about the immortals among us. He’s worked with them, called them friend - but he never counted on being snowed in with one over Christmas. Katricia Argeneau is a tasty little bundle and she seems to feel the same way about him. Problem is, he’s not sure she feels quite the same way. After all, the snowstorm has derailed her blood delivery, which leaves him the only available meal on the menu....

Home for the Holidays by Jeaniene Frost: Cat and Bones are looking forward to a normal holiday - at least as “normal” as it gets for the combustible vampire couple and their otherworldly friends and family. But their yuletide plans are shattered when a stranger shows up and reveals long-buried family secrets that threaten to take a bite out of their holiday cheer... and lives.

Wish it was just Jeaniene Frost

I'm sorry I tried to listen to the first story but it just seemed to drag on & on. The narrator was ok but still I couldn't take it. Now in stark contrast was the always delivering Jeaniene Frost. Another great Bones & Cat story & I'm so very glade Tavia Gilbert was used for this joint collaborations.,great story. It's worth buying for

Great Short Stories

Any additional comments?

I picked up this book because of Jeaniene Frost. I love her Kat and Bones series so I wanted to hear the Christmas story of my favorite couple. As always, Frost does not disappoint. The story was excellent and Tavia Gilbert tells it the best. This was my first experience with Lynsay Sands, but now I am adding her series to my list. This story was more of a love story than action story but I still really enjoyed it. The story brought a little bit of everything: love, danger, and sex. Paula Christensen did a great job with the characters. I would definitely recommend this book to friends.

Short but Good

I love that Teddy gets a life mate. It's a bummer it's only an anthology, but at least he gets a story. Paula has her final performance as narrator for the Argeneau series in this book. There is a second story by Jeaniene Frost that I did not listen to and am not interested in.

Both short stories are worth the listen!

I'm a fan of both authors and the series' these stories come from. Both stories are well worth the listen. When I got this, I had already listened to the Night Huntress series so the Jeaniene Frost story was the original reason for buying it. I was really glad I did because the story is a great addition to the story line and was very enjoyable. I had never read any of the stories from the Argeneau series previous to buying this but the story included here was good enough that it made me want to listen to more. I've since went back to listen to all the books from the Argeneau series.

Only listened to the Cat and Bones Story

A great read for any night huntress fan, I only listened to that one cause I have not read Lynsay Sands books yet, but it was a awesome but short story, in true cat and Bones style, if your like me and miss your old friends listen up and we all know Tavia Gilbert, is one of the best narrators out there, she makes it real. Give it a try, you wont be disappointed.

Teddy. You are up!

I am only reviewing Teddy and Katricia's story. This is a quick and short read. I am glad Teddy got his happily ever after. He has been in a couple of books and he just seems like a really nice all-around character. Katricia is somebody that we have not met yet and I enjoyed the fact that she was a Rogue Hunter and that she can take care of herself.

Teddy is an overall gentleman. It did not matter how old he was, in his 60s, or a newly turned Immortal, his goal was to take care of Katricia and that was sweet to me. Katricia did not fight the fact that her and Teddy are lifemates and that is always a huge plus. No over the top angst is a major plus. When Teddy realize what was happening he did not fight it either. His main concern was to not take advantage of her because she looked as though she could be his granddaughter.

I am glad that this was about a female Immortal and a male Mortal who is older. Lynsay Sands does not tend to write about older male Mortals with Immortal women. I think I would like to see more of that. It tends to be the woman always turning and after awhile it gets old. I would like more outside males then all of the main characters be about a male and they have to find a female life mate and turn her.

A Perfect Addition

This book is a nice come back to book with stories from other series but also a story with a different view point about vampires.
