definitely not sir Arthur's

a wide range of stories, some humorous, some silly, and as one reviewer stated a bit more detailed than would have been accepted in sir Arthur day. good narrator though.

Mostly very good with a couple of duds tossed in

Sherlock Holmes pastiches can be hit or miss. This collection is mostly hits. There are a couple that miss the mark, with one quite graphic in a way the Victorians would not have allowed. The narrator is very good, making some stories come alive with a voice that seems to change at will. Overall, high marks for the narration with just a few points off for the book itself.

Meh

Nothing brilliant, clever or even marginally interesting. No Holmesian deductions or anything of substance. Just a collection of stories that disappoint on after another. Blech

Not that good

I don’t know, some people may like this. But for me the story telling isn’t on par with what I expect from Holmes short stories The plot development doesn’t follow a series of deductions and investigations. This is a collection from multiple authors. The reader is ok and I like his voice but his reading doesn’t portray Holmes or Watson in the accepted personas. It’s hard to listen to for me.
