About this listen

The nine-time bestseller of the year that has transformed the lives of millions around the world. Over five million copies sold.

In a small café at a location so remote it stands in the middle of the middle of nowhere, John—a man in a hurry—is at a crossroads. Intent only on refueling before moving along on his road trip, he finds sustenance of an entirely different kind.

In addition to the specials of the day, the café menu lists three questions all diners are encouraged to consider: Why are you here? Do you fear death? Are you fulfilled?

With this food for thought and the guidance of three people he meets at the café, John embarks on a journey of self-discovery. Along the way, he discovers a new way to look at life, himself, and just how much you can learn from a green sea turtle.

Wow

In tears by Chapter 3. Needed this so much in my life right now. Halfway through the book and prior to the “right time” and “being ready” parts of the book, I asked myself where this book was in my late 20’s, and answered myself almost immediately. I just wasn’t ready then. So inspiring.

Great book well narrated by the author

Sometimes I’m a bit skeptical when authors narrate but this was done so well and it is such a nice short story with strong messages in it

Quick and Inspirational

I enjoyed listening while I was painting by number - one of my new favorite winter relaxing hobbies. There wasn’t any new information for me - I agree with John, Mike, and Casey already….what I’m wondering is, “How do I get my friends who are spinning their wheels and working themselves to the bone for retirement to read/listen?”

Makes you think about your own life’s journey!

Really enjoyed this book! John Strelecky is great and I enjoyed his reading! Why wait to enjoy what’s important. Do it now!! I want to listen to the next book in the series!!! I purchased “Why Are You Here Cafe” but it seemed like the same book with a different title so I returned it.

Knew it would be good

This book is a must read for people of all faiths to ponder the most important questions we could ever ask: “Why am I here? What is my purpose?” Loved it, wish the book was longer.

I’m glad I came across this gem. A meaningful metaphor about how we shape our own lives. It would be a nice gift for a friend who is ready to make a change…
