Poor Choice for a Narrator

I was immediately put off with the narrator. It was like listening to an over enthusiastic male teacher from the 1950's. Many things were over explained and the author repeated many details over and over.

Amazing story!

I feel like the history of the LDS and the Methodist church was too overdone for the story.

Interesting story, but

Not super confident about historical facts being correct...they got some things wrong with calling the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints the wrong name, among some other details that were off.
Interesting story for sure.

Wanted more details

This was quite interesting but I longed for more details about her life during and after her capture. Perhaps words from her speeches.

More like a Mormon History lesson

Boring and I gave it an extensive amount of time to pick up and be anything more than a ridiculous Mormon history lesson! SO disappointed! Read Wiki on the matter for more education and entertainment!

Not a good historian

Poor historical work. False and untrue information. We are members of the extended family of this family and can say without question that some of this book is quite wrong.

Racist BS

This is racist propaganda. Really terrible. I should have known by the cover but I enjoy reading history. Please avoid this.
