About this listen

A private plane with a family spanning three generations disappears in the mountains. After a desperate plea for help, a major search and rescue mission is launched. Meanwhile, a hiker sets out to climb a 9,415-foot mountain on his own. He fails to return, causing his fiancée to report him lost. Another search and rescue is launched on his behalf. With help from the stratosphere, the two search missions each make unexpected discoveries, leading to a dramatic change in circumstances and ending.

Would you listen to The Carry again? Why?

Yes, I would listen again. There are several story lines that come together in the end. I'd like to listen and read again to pickup what I may have missed on the first pass.

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

Yes, starts out with character and plot development that suddenly launches into action.

What does Scott R. Smith bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

The reader does an excellent job acting each character. Each character has his or her own personality.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

About 12 hours so too much for on sitting. Several days of entertainment, a few hours at a time.

Compelling rescue story that brought me to tears
