A little disappointed...

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

I am a huge fan of "the Cat Who" books by L.J. Braun and I have read or listened to all of them over the years. However, and with no disrespect intended, I was very disappointed in the reader. I had gotten used to hearing George Guidall do the other Braun audiobooks (i have several on cd) - and I absolutely love the sound of and way he reads! So, to hear this other man was unexpected when the book began. I still enjoy the cat stories - they are all excellent and great fun - but I didn't care for the performance, I'm sorry to say.

Was The Cat Who Blew the Whistle worth the listening time?

It was worth the listen, but I won't purchase another one with this particular reader...

Bring back George Guidall!

Any additional comments?

Why in the world would you change narrators after so many successful books with George Guidall? I just couldn't enjoy this book without the quintessential voice of James Qwilleran.

forced

Narrator seems forced in jollity especially when its not called for in the story. Also the northern accent seems forced.
