Publisher's summary

New York Times, Wall Street Journal, and USA Today Best Seller!

Girls can rule the world - all they need is confidence. This empowering, entertaining guide from the best-selling authors of The Confidence Code gives girls the essential yet elusive code to becoming bold, brave, and fearless.

It’s a paradox familiar to parents everywhere: girls are achieving like never before, yet they’re consumed with doubt on the inside. Girls worry constantly about how they look, what people think, whether to try out for a sports team or school play, why they aren’t getting “perfect” grades, and how many likes and followers they have online.

Katty Kay and Claire Shipman use cutting-edge science and research, as well as proven methods of behavioral change, to reach girls just when they need it the most - the tween and teen years.

Packed with true stories from tons of real girls, The Confidence Code for Girls teaches girls to embrace risk, deal with failure, and be their most authentic selves.

If you or the girl in your life loved The Gutsy Girl or Rad American Women A-Z, you'll love this.

Good book for tweens!

Worth reading since confidence is important and learning that we all make mistakes. It explains that failure actually helps us grow.

Good but I felt like it did not help it did the opposite. Sometimes I see some bias with genders.

I don't think this helped. The performance by who he it was read was great. But the book it's self made me less confident. And why was it just for girls. But try it in real life. The real book not the audio one.

I had no clus this book was for teens! Lol. I'm 31 years old and still received a lot from this book. Awesome read! I wish it was around when I was in middle school.

A Must Read for Middle School Girls & Moms!

My daughter read this book over the summer between 6th & 7th grade and loved it. In order to be able talk to her about it - I read it too! It's amazing and gave me a lot of things to watch out for and ask about when talking with my daughter.

Not what I expected

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

Young girls - thought it was geared towards women in general.

What could Katty Kay and Claire Shipman have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

I did not really listen that much after realizing it was for young girls. I saw a brief mention of the book on MSNBC and thought it was something different.

Any additional comments?

Would like to get my free audible book back since I did not listen but 15 minutes at most.

Wokeness for teens

After reading the adult version I was excited to listen to this to preview for my pre teen kids. It pushes rhe trans issue pretty hard from the start. Personal issue but I don’t want to weave that into identity and confidence. Life is confusing enough.
