This is an omnibus edition that contains books four to six of the Corps Justice Series: Presidential Shift, National Burden, and Lethal Misconduct.

These are three action thriller books that are sure to keep you listening on.

Presidential Shift:

The vice president killed. The first lady attacked. A president on the edge.

National Burden:

A new president under pressure. Threats coming from every angle. The SSI team caught in the middle.

Lethal Misconduct:

A ray of hope for millions. Powerful forces move to stop it. A marine and his team play for keeps.

Loving this series. Will books 7-9 be in a box set? Almost through this series.

Storylines aren’t bad, if not a little cheesy. But the narration…my god. Who audits these things? Finishing book 6 now just because I purchased the bundle. Done after this, all because of poor storytelling

Horrible Narration

I flew through the first 3 books! Character development matched with a developing storyline through each book kept my attention. A great mix of espionage and military detail. However, changing the narrator has absolutely killed this series for me. The new narrator sounds to be reading something from National Geographic not men in a battlefield. Very disappointed

Why Change The Narrator?

Terrible narration. Boring voice, subpar character voices. Will have to make note of this narrator and not purchase any other books he narrates.

Good plot, technical and storyline

The series is very engaging and builds interestingly on each book. I am left wondering what happened to the creepy congressman in book five. Perhaps that was something I simply missed.

Continuing engagement of my attention.

I've read the majority of this series and LOVED it so I figured I would listen to it as well. The narrator is OK but some words were pronounced oddly, not the normal pronunciation, which slightly bothered me. Plus the main character, in this omnibus, sounded not like I would imagine (totally subjective) and different from the first books 1-3 narrator. Still the story and characters are good in my opinion. Not sure I will use credits to buy the rest of the series, which isn't fully available on Audible anyway. If you've not read the books though, I would recommend this series regardless of the narrator.

Listening to this was good

I've read books 1-6. They're decent stories but it seems like their villains are typically on the right and the "heroes" hold a more leftist view. Probably will not pursue any more of this series or by this author.

Leftist slant

Let me start by saying I'm only through book 4. Dove into books 4-6 directly after listening to books 1-3. Decent continuation on story, though the ending of Presidential Shift felt a little lacking compared to the other book endings so far. The biggest shift down for me was the narrator shift from A.W. Dickson to Alan Taylor. While Taylor has a very nice voice, all the characters sound the same verses the Dickson narration where individual characters sounded very different. Taylor does a good job stating the name of the character speaking to avoid confusion, but with the different sounding voices it was more distinct and flowing.

Decent but narration a step back from books 1-3

Without giving anything away, keep in mind that US Treasury debt is not callable, making the central plot point of this book ridiculous. The author has zero understanding of domestic and international financial markets or of foreign policy. Suspension of disbelief is always important when trying to enjoy fiction, but there has to be a hint of plausibility in the story—this one is beyond any shred of belief. Plus, if I hear any more about the wonderfulness of Marines, I’m going to puke. I don’t know if I’ll make it through Book 6, but since I already paid for it, I’ll probably finish it. I won’t be reading/listening to Book 7.

Central Plot Point is Stupid

We really enjoyed books 1-3 and bought 4-6. We were very disappointed that the narrator was different and made the main character into a whole different character that wasn’t believable or likable. 😕

Disappointed in the narration
