About this listen

Lynn Ames' first novel, The Price of Fame, has been called "absorbing and filled with romance" (Lori L. Lake, Midwest Book Review). Now Ames is back with the second installment in the lives of Katherine Kyle and Jamison Parker.

Kate and Jay want nothing more than to focus on their love. But as Kate settles in to a new profession, she and Jay become caught up in the middle of a deadly scheme - pawns in a larger game in which the stakes are nothing less than control of the country.

In her new novel of corruption, greed, romance, and danger, Lynn Ames takes us on an unforgettable journey of harrowing conspiracy - and establishes herself as a mistress of suspense. The Cost of Commitment. It could be everything....

Great sequel!

Another great story! I jumped right into this after finishing book 1, and am headed to book 3 now. I NEVER cry when reading a book, but this one had me all choked up. Very well written and narrated.

Perfect second book to the story

My only thought is that it’s not a stand alone book you had to know the story before.

Political Intrigue

The continuing story of Jay and Kate is a testament to the strength of love and commitment. A wonderful performance and second in the series.

I love this book.

The Cost of Commitment by Lynn Ames is great! This ongoing series about Jay and Kate is wonderful. Politics, intrigue, and romance. Emily Beresford does a wonderful job with the narration. Thanks for making this great book available on Audible.

Report that

Another adventure with J.& K. , but this one was a little too political for me. I planned to listen to all 3 of them, but I’m going to give my ears a rest for a month. Off to my next adventure.

Meh

Let me just say - the narrator is absolutely amazing. She managed to portray more than 12 different characters, all with their own unique accents and voices.

Now, for the story....

I LOVED the first book in the series. This one, not so much. I found it dry and boring, with just enough mystery to keep the story going and to keep me reading.

But unless I see raving reviews for the next book in the series, I'm not likely to get it.

Sportscaster

this book is alright. I was disappointed by the voice actor. she seemed to be doing the play by play of a hockey game.
