About this listen

Newly-made capo Neal Walsh has devoted her life to protecting the powerful Mancuso crime family, but when a crisis crushes connections within the organization, she must carefully navigate shifting alliances to ensure her loyalty is not misplaced—a task made even more complicated when she begins falling hard for the reclusive wife of her boss’s sworn enemy.

Anastasia Petrov surrendered to her fate as the trophy wife of powerful mob boss Mikhail Petrov long ago, but their marriage of convenience has become increasingly less so since his reckless power grabs have put their fortune in peril. Taking matters into her own hands, she secretly seeks out new allies. But what starts as strictly business turns into a dangerous attraction to the striking younger woman on the other side who awakens a desire she’s long denied and ignites a fire that could either burn them all down or save her soul.

Repaying a Debt.

Neal Walsh is body guard for a lawyer for a crime family who turns out to be his first born. When the boss is killed it shakes the entire Dallas area. Anastasia Petrov is wife to the head of another crime family. Once they meet it’s a whole new story. Great thriller.

Good book

As everyone else has said, the story was great, but a very abrupt ending. It lacks in the smut department, in case that’s what you’re looking for.

Good plot but...

The narrator was great and the storyline was captivating. However, the ending was very abrupt which left me quite irritated.

Good Story Rushed Ending

I have to go along with the other reviews, the story line was excellent but the ending was unexplained and rushed. This was Neal’s story but Royal and Shioban’s ending and Neal’s as well was very abrupt. Not Taite’s style. I’m hoping that there will be another book explaining the whole thing. Otherwise, I’ll be very disappointed!

The narration by McKinney was excellent so that made up for the abrupt ending.

Rushed ending

The book was interesting enough but it rushed the ending leaving you with questions. I have so many questions!

Exciting sequel!

It was so nice to reconnect with Siobhan and Royal as well as get to go on this journey with Neil! I also love the cameos of Muriel and Cain Casey! Really cool! Great narration.

Loved the narration but..

This book left me with a lot of questions thanks to the last two chapters. Things were flowing and then it south quickly and I’m not sure why. I hope third book.
