A Cottagecore Inspired Guide For Mindful Living Anywhere
#1 Best Seller in Small Homes & Cottages, Folkcrafts, Architectural Decoration and Ornaments, Fiber Arts & Textiles, Seasonal Crafts, Architecture, Home Design Decorating & Design
The Cottage Fairy Companion is your accessible and beautiful guide to mindful living. It teaches the fundamentals of cottagecore style through the practices of The Cottage Fairy’s daily life.
Romanticize your life anywhere. The Cottage Fairy Companion helps listeners open their eyes to the everyday magic right in front of them. It gives a new perspective by revealing the lessons nature teaches about finding beauty through the good times and the bad. Everyone—from city-dwellers to country bobkins—can find delight in this book. It shows that you do not need a cottage in the rustic countryside to achieve a cottagecore aesthetic, or to apply aspects of slow living to your daily life.
Use mindfulness for healing and fulfillment. Paola Merrill, author and creator behind the popular YouTube channel The Cottage Fairy, left a hectic life in the city for the rural mountains in search of a deeper connection to herself and the world. She learned that nature is the biggest teacher of all—if we open our eyes to its wisdom. Mindful living can be applied in most walks of life, and Merrill’s writing encourages you to find healing and fulfillment, wherever you are.
Inside this enchanting book on mindful living, you’ll find:
- Insight to creating a cozy and inspiring space, living in alignment with natural cycles and seasons, and gardening and making tea
- Original illustrations and breathtaking photos of the author’s cottage, crafts, and the countryside
- Calming, meditative prose to promote tranquility and stillness in a hectic world
If you liked Cozy White Cottage, Simply Living Well, or The Little Book of Cottagecore, you’ll love The Cottage Fairy Companion.

Western folklore and mythology are rife with brilliantly creative, fulfilled, feisty, and furious role models for aging women, despite our culture's focus on youthfulness. In her exciting new book, mythologist and psychologist Sharon Blackie explores these archetypes, presenting them in a way sure to appeal to contemporary women. Drawing inspiration from these examples, women can reclaim midlife as a liberating, alchemical moment rich with possibility and their elder years as a path to dynamic power.

Whether we feel unworthy, alienated, or anxious about our place in the world, the absence of belonging is the great silent wound of our times. Most people think of belonging as a mythical place, and they spend a lifetime searching for it in vain. But what if belonging isn’t a place at all? What if it’s a skill that has been lost or forgotten? With her signature depth and eloquence, Toko-pa maps a path to belonging from the inside out.

Loved it!
Loved that she read her own book! Her voice is so calming. Ambient. Loved the content, goes well with the YouTube channel she has. The listenings of a cottage life, eliminated in words from someone who has been where most of us have and still are. Allowing dreams and hopes to bloom in the mind no matter where we are, great books give that✨

You can feel the love and passion Paola shares
Great and enlightening book about a new way to approach life. I found Paola through her YouTube channel a few months ago. I was intrigued by her videos and upon doing some research I found that she not only has written a book, but narrated it as well. This was such a joy to listen too! Paola's voice is very gentle and calming. She shares alot about how nature influences her mental health in both a positive and negative way. She talks about reconnecting with not only nature, but our childhood, passions, and interests(no matter how childish or unpopular they are). I only found myself wanting more of her content after the book concluded. Great thing that her YouTube channel is still very much active and shares the same level of passion that she put into this project.

Such a wonderful listening
With her kindness and words she brought me to tears many times listening to this book, both from feeling the beauty and acknowledging how far I have been from actually feeling it. It is a kind of bittersweet feeling but nevertheless, very beautiful ❤️
