About this listen

A summer rental, a new beginning....

Hannah Russell’s carefully crafted plans for her life have been upended without warning. When her best friend died suddenly, Hannah became guardian to a five-year-old named Noah. With no experience at motherhood, she’s terrified she’s not up to the challenge. She and Noah need time to get to know each other, so she decides to rent a country house with stunning views on a lake in rural Colorado.

When they arrive at the house, they are greeted by the owner, a handsome man who promises to stay out of their way. But his clumsy Great Dane, Romeo, has other ideas and Noah immediately bonds with the lovable dog. As Hannah learns to become a mother, Owen Abrams, who is recovering from his own grief, can’t help but be drawn out of his solitude by his guests.

But life throws more challenges at this unlikely trio and they are tested in ways they never thought possible. All three will discover their strengths and, despite their differences, they will fight to become a family. And the people of Sullivan’s Crossing will rally around them to offer all of the support they need.

Number-one New York Times best-selling author Robyn Carr delivers an emotional and triumphant novel about the fierce power of a mother’s love.

Such a nice listen

Honestly, I wasn’t sure I’d love this like all the other Robyn Carr books- But I did love it!! I had such a hard time even stopping listening. Since I only listen while walking- I just couldn’t hardly stop walking!! This book is a little different- winding in a wonderful mystery among a beautiful love story- that brings together an unlikely family.
Just sit back and let Robyn and Terese let you escape and enjoy an awesome story!!

Country guest house

I loved it. The characters and story were so interesting I couldn’t stop until I finished. The little boy Noah was so real as he struggled with losing his Mom and learning to love his new family.

CAN'T GET ANY BETTER!! DESERVES A 10-STAR RATING!!

Gezzzz I didn't want this book to end. I know it's ridiculous to say but I get homesick to hear one of Robyn Carr's new releases and with Therese Plummer's voice. This book was absolutely wonderful and I wish it were longer. I listened to it without pausing. I have listened to ALL of Robyn's series and NEVER get tired of them. Therese Plummer's voice is so addictive. What a talent!!!!!!!

I anxiously await ANOTHER release in the Sullivan's Crossing series!

a Great read

This is a great book of a friend dying. You get custody of her child. You agree to vacation for a month to get to know each other. Then, believable. new friends, keeping old friends while adapting. Many twists to this book, yet it stays

Guests Abound

Robyn Carr has created another hit with the latest in Sullivan's Crossing series. She has a way of showing that family is what you make of it. The listener will be held captive until the end because of all the characters interactions. I always look forward to the next book.
