About this listen

This story of a cowboy romance takes place at the tail end of 1899 in a mythical place with imaginary people. However, there are real inspirations for my gay cowboys in historical photos and biographies of men coupling together out in the wide Wild West. Dances, romances, and domestic lives all happened where men were men and enjoyed each other…away from civilization's judgements.

At the Rainbow Ranch in Sundown Valley, Cowboy Cole seemed like a jar of cider that had been screwed tight so long it had turned hard, alcoholic, and highly intoxicating. As a result, the lid was ready to pop off, and now neither Cole nor I knew what was next…but he had a feeling of quiet excitement…like a dog let off his leash…and so did I. It felt like both of us were a loaded pair of six guns in unpredictable hands….

Honestly could have been better. A bit boring in my opinion. Worth a try though.

The narrator reminds me of the guy that reads at the library. Nice, mellow, and makes you want to sit around for any western book. The story of realization is good to even if it's a little short. A really fast read.
