  • Is a Christian allegory, with themes of courage, trust, loyalty, and hope
  • Features a betrayed king, a kingdom in danger, sword fighting, an epic battle, and more
  • Will appeal to young fans of C.S. Lewis’s Narnia series and Philip Pullman’s Golden Compass

This audio collection includes all three novels in the Door Within trilogy, for 8- to 12-year-olds:

The Door Within: Aidan Thomas is struggling with attending a new school and making new friends after moving to his ailing grandfather’s house. But in the basement, Aidan discovers a mysterious invitation to another world, where he finds himself in the middle of a long-fought war between good and evil. With the fate of two worlds hanging in the balance, Aidan faces Paragory, the eternal enemy with unfathomable power. Will Aidan be willing to risk everything and trust the unseen hand of the one true King?

The Rise of the Wyrm Lord: Aidan Thomas is in trouble. Unable to return to The Realm of Glimpses, Aidan needs a way to reach his best friend, Robby, who is still there with a message from King Eliam, the one true King. When Aidan discovers that Antoinette Reed has been called to enter The Realm, he asks her help to find Robby before it is too late. But when Antionette arrives in the Kingdom of Alleble, Antoinette finds the kingdom is in turmoil. Alleble's allies are suddenly turning away and there are rumors that the dark Prince of Paragory is seeking an ancient evil power to crush the Alleble once and for all.

The Final Storm: Pure evil collides as Paragor unites with the Wyrm Lord and the mythical Seven Sleepers to launch a full-scale assault on the Kingdom of Alleble. While Alleble and its allies prepare to face the coming onslaught, they cling to an ancient legend about three witnesses who have the power to bring victory. But is the legend true? And if it is, where are the witnesses? Time is running out as darkness spreads over the Realm, and Paragor unleashes the final storm. Will anyone survive to see the dawn?

So good of a trilogy

I enjoyed the first and third books the best the main character in the second book had a little bit of Nancy drew disease (prefect all the time) but I still loved these books very good to read after. Narnia same cadence of the last battle

Great trilogy

It started as if the writer was inexperienced. By the third book, I was completely drawn into the story. I really enjoyed it.

I really enjoyed his diverse characters and spiritual parallels. I have never seen someone do such a good job in displaying spiritual warfare!!!! This is great series for older children and even adults.

Enjoyable Read for the Most Part

If you can get by the several credulity stretches, like a fourteen year old, non athletic boy learning sword skills so that he can defeated a trained adult warrior in a week's time, you will probably enjoy the read. I certainly didn't regret spending the credit and getting all three books for that credit was a big bonus.

There were moments where I was really moved on a spiritual level and I found most of the characters appealing, if not entirely believable, I was disappointed that Dave Cruse was not narrating this one. I listened to The Myridian Constellation first and found his narration to be excellent. The author did a decent job of it. Some of his characterizations were very bombastic and I firmly believe that no one born above the Mason/Dixon line should every attempt a southern accent. They never get it right and invariably over do it.

the most thinly veiled Christian aligory since Jesus' fursona ruled Narnia

this book more than any other has made me an atheist. the weak jabs about people not believing a story. the attempt to make a separate world that just makes a creepy relationship where you have no free will. the fact that Jesus I mean the king plans every thing so no choice matters. or that things only work because people made the wrong choice so sin is good I guess. could have been an awesome fantasy novel if all the other world and creepy Christianity crap wasn't in it.

Appropriate for young audience

The plot and character development are excellent. The book seems to talk down to the reader.
