Love the enthusiasm and the different accents

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Absolutely!! Very well read. The reader works hard--with tone and quality accents--to drop the audience in the book's milieu!! You can literally close your eye and see the story, as it happens.

What does Cat Lookabaugh bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Enthusiasm, for one. Additionally, her accents are well done and she adds emotion and tone to alert the listener to a new speaker in the story.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes and no. Thankfully, the audio is about an hour and can be enjoyed during a car ride. However, if you are not familiar with the series, a few listenings are necessary to get background and context.

Kept my attention so pretty good

This was my first audiobook listen, not counting a children's story. It was a little frustrating for me because I have an auditory processing disorder which sometimes makes it hard to hear words if they're not enunciated clearly or are in strange accents (strange accents were used in this case, to add to the fantasy feel of it I think), but mostly I got it and was kept entertained.
The story held my attention but was occasionally a little confusing, such as a task scored a success but perceived by me as a fail, probably because the criteria for success wasn't laid down. I like quirky stories with animals in them, like ones by Octavia Butler, but this one leaves me sort of hanging out waiting for more, like it was just a piece of a story. I know it's supposed to be part of a trilogy, but it still knocks down my enjoyment of this one single book.

Adventure, Fantasy, Dragons and More!

Would you listen to The Dragon's Bond again? Why?

Dragon's Bond is a wonderful book that introduces you to the world of fantasy and adventure, through delightful and interesting characters, riddles, and mystery! You'll be immersed in the adventures of Tegan and her companions who are determined to solve the challenges presented to them along their journey. This first book in the series introduces the characters and their relationship, and ends with the Dragon's Bond. It can be listened to again and again with interest and enjoyment.

Who was your favorite character and why?

All of the characters were unique and had their own personalities, but I enjoyed the character of Tegan most of all. This character was genuine and she held the story together like glue.

Which character – as performed by Cat Lookabaugh – was your favorite?

Cat Lookabaugh uses her vocal talents to perform each of the characters in this book with passion and soul. She skillfully tells the tale of the adventurous team of cohorts, beginning with Tegan and Serico. Her voice literally brings the characters to life. Much goes on in this story, so you'll need to pay careful attention, but you'll not be disappointed! Cat does a great job in her narration of this tale.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I did listen to this book in one sitting because it was not long and it held my attention because of the excellent narration.
