Just Good

I throughly enjoyed it. It was just the right amount of everything, romance, sex, emotional healing, maturing etc.

Good addition to the series

Without reading the first 2 books in this series, I doubt I would have liked this book very much. Knowing the history of the H/H from the previous stories made me interested in reading their HEA. The narrator is not one of my favorites, but not awful either. The narrator made the hero sound even more petulant than he is. Eager to read the story of Jo and her secret love interest next.

Cute but the first 2 were better

A nice enough story, I cute ending but oh my gods did it take forever to really get going. Probably the weakest of the 3 audiobooks in the series as the others were fabulous but still a fine book to pass the time with while you're working on something else.

I expected a bit more.

Let me start by saying this was an enjoyable listen, but I was expecting a bit more. I thought the female lead was a bit weak. I understand that you can't help who you love and that you continue to love them even if they have hurt you, but working out their past seemed to just be glossed over. Other than her telling him "you hurt me". When i read the premise for the story, I thought it was something different and interesting. I was really looking forward to listening to this book, but it just left me wanting something more. It wasn't bad, it just wasn't all i hoped it would be.

Loved it.

I really loved Eliza’s story and this is the second story I read. I absolutely love this series!

Very different approach

Sometimes we get so used to the Victorian romance formula that we shy away from relationship repair stories. This was very well done, and the characters developed in a realistic way. Some might find this a slower moving story as it is full of introspection. I’ve been critical of stories with too much of this before… so perhaps I was more introspective during this listen.

Very disappointing

The first two books were wonderful. Couldn’t wait for the third book.
Third book is stupid & an insult to one’s intelligence. No plot or plan just a lot of meaningless words to fill the page.

If I would give this book a D grade

My first time with this author and will never bother with her again. I took the book because I love stories about estranged couples getting back together, but the H and H were just blah.

Stupid!

This story was very stupid! It was mostly filled with sex, and although I am not a prude, this got to be to much! A story about an unfaithful duke and his young wife who had no self-esteem but who, nevertheless, had constant sex with her unfaithful husband. Very poorly written. Also, the narrator was awful! She gave both the male and female protagonists terrible voices! Her normal narrating voice want bad and yet she gave them both awful voices! I wanted to punch them both!
