Publisher's summary

Noble Satyr: A Georgian Historical Romance

1740s France and England - the age of hedonism and enlightenment. Renard, Duke of Roxton, is wealthy beyond measure. Arrogant and self assured, his heart remains his own. Optimistic and headstrong, Antonia Moran is determined to flee the Court of Versailles with the Duke's unwitting assistance. Roxton is an unlikely savior - arrogant, promiscuous, and sinister. Antonia's unquestioning belief in him may just be his salvation, and her undoing.

A classic "Beauty and the Beast" tale, this award-winning historical romance is a homage to Georgette Heyer's These Old Shades.

A wonderful first audiiobook

If you could sum up Noble Satyr in three words, what would they be?

wonderful, masterful, entertaining

Who was your favorite character and why?

Roxton is my favorite character in this. He has always thought to go on with his life unchanged. He is so surprised when he decides he can't be happy with anyone for any reason but Antonia. He finds thoughts of her ruling his plans for the rest of his days. So he becomes what we all know, a reformed rake is a happy husband.

What does Alex Wyndham bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

He makes all of the characters have their own voice and makes you look forward to hearing from each of them.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

It made me impatient to hear "what happens next" It makes me want to shake the sister of Roxto,n she is so hysterical over every thing and jumps to the wrong conclusion all the time.

Any additional comments?

Can't wait to get into the next story in the series.

Awesome!!!

I started reading the series out of sequence, and started with Midnight Marriage, because it had more high reviews. They are both excellent. Brant does a great job of encapsulating the essence of the 18th century aristocracy. The dynamic between the duke and Antonia was charming and sweet without being cliche. Alex Wyndham does a flawless job narrating. Can't wait to listen to Autumn Duchess, followed by more of Grant's works.

eh

I listened because I was advised by other reviews to listen to this series in order. I wanted to listen to the next book. I hoping it's better. This is my first with author L. Brant. Alex Wyndham does a good job narrating men but I didn't care for his choppy female voices.

One of My Favorite Historical Romance Series

I am actually surprised this series hasn’t had more people rating it. Historical romances is my favorite genre and I have returned to the series multiple times to reread it. Unique circumstances and unique characters. One of my favorite reads!

Lucinda Brant + Alex Wyndham=a winning combination

This love story between Antonia and her Monseigneur is beautiful and thrilling. Alex Wyndham's narration is just the icing on the cake (and icing has always been my favorite part of the cake!).

All of Lucinda Brant's Georgian books are first-class and highly recommended.

The Noble Satyr

This was possibly the first book I've read by Lucinda Brant so it took me a chapter or two to get into it, however, once I did, I was hooked. I've been reading so many Scottish romances, that this one caught me off guard. I absolutely loved it once I adjusted to France rather than Scotland. If I remember correctly, I received a free copy from the author through contests or to give an honest review. lso, I bought the audio book because I love hearing the different narrators ply their skills. To me, it just adds life to the well written characters. I truly didn't want to put the book down. I listened to the audio while sewing on a baby blanket. It took me back to my high school French classes. I just loved it! 😀

Noble Satyr Such A Fantastic Audiobook

I have read the "Noble Satyr," by Lucinda Brant along with the other "Roxton Family Books" countless of times but when I listened to the audiobook narrated by Alex Wyndham, it was as if I was a silent character in the audiobook. Yes, I literally felt as if I was right there during each and every scene! Alex's narration was perfect or spot on for each and every character and his enthusiasm was fantastic when the scene called for it.
I have now decided after hearing the audiobook, "Noble Satyr," written by Lucinda Brant, and narrated by Alex Wyndham that I must have all the audiobooks for the, "Roxton Family Saga!" I'm a true convert for listening to Lucinda's audiobooks narrated by Alex Wyndham!

Wonderful Story and narrative

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I enjoyed listening to this novel very much, the story was captivating. I have to admit I read the book before, so I already loved it going in, but that being said, it was engaging and full of romance. Now I want to own more of the series in audio.
