About this listen

“In our rapidly evolving world, elevated leadership service is needed more than ever to create working together environments with all the stakeholders to create value for all and the greater good. Ryan presents a very compelling vision, strategy, and plan to take our leadership to the next level of performance and service.” (Alan Mulally, Former CEO of Boeing Commercial Airplanes and the Ford Motor Company)

“I often get asked how one can strengthen their 'positivity muscles.' This book presents cutting-edge ideas from psychology and neuroscience to teach you how to do just that. It’s a must read if you want to learn how to lift yourself up so you can lift others up!” (Jon Gordon, 13-time best-selling author of The Energy Bus and Power of Positive Leadership)

"Becoming our better future self requires upgrading our internal operating system, and this book clearly and powerfully explains how you can do that." (Dr. Benjamin Hardy, author of Be Your Future Self Now)

To elevate, leaders need to approach their development differently. They need Vertical Development. Now more than ever, leaders are faced with constant and dramatic change. They need to elevate their capacity to operate effectively amidst stress, pressure, uncertainty, and complexity.

Rooted in neuroscience and the power of the mind–leadership connection, The Elevated Leader brings cutting-edge insights and tools to help leaders understand the transformational power of vertical development and that traditional horizontal development efforts can only be incrementally helpful. Wall Street Journal and USA Today bestselling author Ryan Gottfredson provides a roadmap with the latest research and discoveries on the mind–leadership connection to help leaders level up in their cognitive and emotional sophistication.

In The Elevated Leader, listeners will....

  • Deepen their self-awareness of the current vertical altitude that they operate from
  • Awaken to areas where they can develop greater cognitive and emotional sophistication
  • Discover the commonly overlooked key to elevating their mind
  • Learn the steps and techniques to level up their mind to elevate their leadership
  • Become empowered to elevate not only their leadership, but the leaders of those they work with

Gottfredson guides listeners on a deep, introspective journey that empowers them to go beyond their current altitude so that they can more effectively navigate their increasingly challenging world and have a greater positive and uplifting impact within their spheres of influence.

One of the most leadership development books

I like how the science and philosophy matched up. Most importantly, the level of importance in vertical development was described very clearly, drawing me to want to go deeper into it.
