Publisher's summary

When Tobias and his friends were given the power to morph, they were also given an important warning: Never stay in a morph for more than two hours. But Tobias broke the time limit, and now he's trapped in the body of a hawk - forever. When he discovers an important Yeerk secret, Tobias knows he has to do everything in his power to destroy it. But to do so, he'll have to contend with a part of himself that's wrestling for control. A part that isn't human.

Poor Tobias

Michael's a fine narrator as the boy in a hawk's body. The poor dude. I feel sorry for him. Glad these are coming in audio book form after many years of waiting.

This narrator is great

Tobias was always one of my favorites as a kid, and Michael Crouch has captured his voice very well. I love seeing this series in audio format finally! I hope the whole series is recorded this way eventually

Emohawk lives

Tobias's narration can get pretty extreme but I think it's most understandably so here, even as it's at its most extreme. I wish he and Ax had been as regular in the rotation of books as the other kids.

Michael Crouch might be my favorite narrator so far. Oh, man, what if he voiced the Andalite Chronicles? If it was one of the established narrators it'd have to be either him or Ax's.

Keep em coming!

Another engaging installment in the series that takes place from the most unique perspective on the team. Really good narration, and the writer does her homework on the animals, their behavior, and how they'd interact.

Love the narrator

Was easily my favorite book in the main series(excluding the andelite chronicles). Tobias's voice actor sounds so much better than Jake's impersonation of him lol.

Great narrator for a tough book!

I adore this series, but books #2 and #3 are not the strongest books in the start. They have really strong parts to them, but that is entirely in the character development and not the plot. The plot of this one is weak, but WOW the character development. And the narrator nails it.

Really, really looking forward to #13.

A fantastic narrator for the 3rd Animorphs book!

This might not be my favorite Animorphs book but it's a solid first book for Tobias and his adjustment with his new life. the narrator sounded just like I imagined the character to sound like. It's a really emotional book with an intense ending. Can't wait to check out the 4th audiobook with Cassie.

I hope they record the entire series

I hope they record the entire series! Tobias's reader is my only negative in the audible productions. He takes the awkward shy lonely introverted character a tiny bit too far. I had a hard time not feeling like his voice was too monotone.
It was a great book otherwise.

Tobias. A human. A hawk. An Animorph.

Yet another great trek into the world of Animorphs. I loved these books back when they came out, and I love them now even more. The narrator was great. The best so far. Only the sometimes awkward sound effects the narrators do kind of gets to me. Usually because they're, loud and kinda out of nowhere. but it does help with action and tension.
in any case, great book. Can't wait for book 4.
