About this listen

What would you do to keep your dreams ad-free?

Bruised, stoned, and still adjusting to her latest wear implants, apprentice enforcer Taya Mint plunges into the darkest depths of Megastructure Seven Zero Three, challenging everything she thought she knew about life within the walls she has never stepped beyond.

With only one assignment left to earn her full license, Taya finally stands a chance to rebuild a life wounded by grief. But she quickly discovers that the kidnapping she's investigating is just one piece of a puzzle—one that leads to grisly death and the greedy heart of power within the structure. When evidence points to a supernatural threat as the culprit, Taya finds herself needing to rely on cold-blooded allies just to survive the hell that is Seven Zero Three.

To save an innocent life in a world polluted by zealots, Taya will have to learn just how much it costs to face the monsters that occupy humanity’s artificial Eden.

I enjoyed the entirety of the story, and the voice actor did great to pull it all together.

Good story and performance

Not usually a fan of the cyberpunk genre, but Daniel pulled me in. Worth your valuable credit and time. Loved the narrator.

Very well done. Engaging world building.

It's well written, the story flows well. Good action beats and lots of gore. The characters actually have motivation for what they do and are 3-dimensional. Without spoiling too much lets say the story strays some from pure sci-fi/cyberpunk into the supernatural. I think Mr Greene has a bright future ahead of him if he keeps writing this well

i'm actually impressed

Cyberpunk post apocalyptic dystopia + urban fantasy secret war are two very specific genres that I didn't expect working so well. I'm glad they did. Also I like that the characters aren't very wish fulfilly/a power fantasy, with proper faults and flaws. I will be pre-ordering any sequels.

A very nice blend of genres that work really well

I've read Daniel Green's previous works and enjoyed them, but this is such a step up in his writing. Genuinely impressed with the setting, I enjoyed the characters a lot, and the plot twists surprised me without feeling too far out of left field. One of the best books I've read this year, and looking forward to more books in this world.

blown away

While I enjoyed Daniel's first two books, he was still trying to find his feet as an author. This book, however, showed me that he learned a lot and applied those lessons skillfully. I had little to no issues and found the story highly enjoyable. His main female lead was allowed to be feminine and used "wear" to give her the various tools she needed to skillfully execute her profession. This struck a fine balance that I believe many authors miss when they try to create a strong female character. I loved the interaction between the cast of characters he created, who all had their own unique voice and didn't feel like slight alterations of each other. The story was compelling and the world felt full with depth. There is a lot going on in the cyberpunk-infused thriller and I can't wait to see what Daniel has in store.

A fun cyberpunk-infused thriller

I really enjoyed the world building and the roller coaster this story takes you on. I found myself really invested in not only the world but the characters too. I am excitedly awaiting the next book. Thank you Daniel.
