About this listen

In the dark underbelly of our world, there's a black market in arcane things - living and dead. Angela Gough has been pulled into this world, making her a criminal on the run.

In London she encountered the Kin-satyrs and centaurs, Nephilim and wraiths, hunted and slaughtered for their body parts. Fleeing back to the United States, Angela discovers that the Kin are everywhere, and they are tired of being prey.

When her niece Sammi is struck by lightning, she is drawn toward the mysterious Folded Land and its powerful and deadly ruler. Helped by her lover Vince, caught in the midst of a Kin uprising, Angela must locate Sammi before the girl is lost forever.

Such a great sequel!!!

Such a damn good book!!! I was curious as to where Lebbon was taking the story and I’m happy to say I’m greatly impressed. Definitely worth reading!!!

relic is the 1st of this series. good news however

our Author has made it easy for you & I to read this book, maybe accidentally, you actually find that both are decent. These were included on AUDIBLE plus. Great for anyone who likes to try new writers. I felt it had a lot of dull filler in it to pad it up. It wasn't very fluid where u felt the narrative was going to give great info. Narrator is always very smooth even if u don't like her "voices". Wondering if this story is going to get another novel added?

Book 1 Cont’d but Noir, Wild Ride+Unexpected End

This is a continuation of the story started in Book 1, and with all the familiar main characters having their own if occasionally brief roles. However, where Book 1 was like a child holding Your hand and slowly walking the Reader/Listener into the new World of the Kin; Book 2 is a MUCH, MUCH, DARKER and Dangerous World!

I actually enjoyed Book 2 more than Book 1, the true faces behind the gentle, serine Kin, fall away and in Book 2, the Reader/Listener is shown just how dangerous the Kin can be…Worse than a Crazy Sater? You ask…Yup! ..Maybe not individually, but definitely collectively…

I also Enjoyed the Ending..I won’t ruin Your Read/Listen by posting a spoiler, but I will say, Where I should have seen it coming ten miles away, the ending perfectly surprised me…so, now I look forward to Book 3, and the potential conclusion,….

Oh! and Lastly, Not sure if it is a different Narrator, or I just have gotten used to hearing this one, but I didn’t find the Narration bother me in this book, so it was much more tolerable….that’s not to say that there weren’t some portions of the book that didn’t seem to just drone on and on, and I guess I temporarily tuned it out or listened while not listening to get past it, but. all in all, I found this Book, Book 2, much easier to get through than I did Book 1….

Really Gory

If you can handle all the blood, violence and disturbing imagery then this book is an amazing R rated fairytale that you can really get lost into.

Great Series. Engaging Urban/Modern Fantasy

I listened to and enjoyed the whole series. It's not perfect, but it's engaging and was a welcome bit of escapism. I would happily read more in the same series if it continued.

Buy a copy and skip the audio book

holy. rap this chick can't do voices. I'd rather my 8 yr old read me this book. aside from that it's a good one, maybe I'll take my own advice and buy a copy of the series.

I was a bit confused in the beginning, but after listening to everything, it was such an amazing sequel.

felt rushed

The story picks up after Angela gets broken out of jail and moves so slowly chapters 1 through approx 31 then picks up the pace almost to where you get lost ...

Even when it ends, it's like, that's it?

This definitely made me want much more... onto book 3 now...
