About this listen

With each meaningless date and disappointing new boyfriend, Katie Porter is becoming more and more disillusioned. No matter how wide a net she casts, she cant seem to find a guy who really understands her. But someone thinks she's special - very special. And he's watching her.

Peter sees Katie at the gym. He sees her at the coffee bar she stops at on the way to work. In fact, he sees her almost everywhere, as he quietly trails her. But most of all, he sees her in his plans for the future. He has the proposal worked out; he even has the ring and their happy home already. After all, he's had enough time to plan things to perfection - he grew up in the same small town. Surely, after all these years, he can't let anything stand in his way....

Critic reviews

“It’s been years since a thriller grabbed me the way Jason Starr’s The Follower did. I really couldn’t stop reading it…The Follower puts Starr up there with some of the greats of psychological suspense.” (Joseph Finder)
“Jason Starr’s got a hip style and an ear for crackling dialogue. And he offers up characters that are so real we’re sure we know them.” (Jeffery Deaver)
“Jason Starr is hypnotically good – if you miss him, you’re missing some of the best new writing there is.” (Lee Child)

Can't anyone tell the truth?

Although well written and read it gets frustrating when so many people do not tell the truth or try to hide something. I guess people live like this, life in the fast lane, expendable “friends” and relationships that can be measured in hours. The author does a good job in describing the shallowness of the me generation.

"Not MY Cup of Tea!!"

I could not get past the first two chapters--rough language and disrespectful attituded toward women. The charcters were real jerks. It would be nice if there were ratings for VSL etc.

I am not recommending this book.

If you like to read books full of people you hate.

This is for you! Maybe I'm too old for this book at 37, but every single character was rude and obnoxious, lazy and pathetic. I hung out through the entire book hoping more people would get offed, but no such luck. If this book has a use it is as a cautionary tale for young women on the dating scene. It was a true depiction of the confusion of finding one's way in the single world and the importance of following your instincts about your dates.

Unfortunately, I was looking for a thriller.

save your credit !

I don't know how to put this politely but don't waste your credit or time on this book. It's beyond terrible if that's even possible! If I could give it negative stars I would! I don't know where to start on what was wrong with this audio book. The story is just plain boring and feels forced. I really tried to listen to it but I kept getting the urge to skip ahead. I'd rather not say more as I'm angry at myself for wasting my credit and time on this thing.
