Publisher's summary

The first rule of being a ghost whisperer: Don't tell anyone. Seriously. Don't.

Sure, it might sound harmless. A fun party trick, even. I assure you, it's not. How do I know? Well, let's just say that I've had a lot of experience with this sort of thing, and nine times out of 10, it turns into an all-consuming disaster.

Being plagued by needy ghosts 24-7 is one thing; being harassed by a horde of curious - or worse, grieving - flesh-and-blood people is an entirely different circus. I mean really, who wants to hold an impromptu seance in the middle of the cereal aisle? Not me, and the manager of the grocery store probably isn't too crazy about the idea, either.

So, that's it. If you're a ghost whisperer, just keep your mouth shut and act normal. Ghosts? What ghosts?

Now, if only I would start listening to my own advice....

Fun and Witty

It was fun to read from start to finish. Never a dull moment and I love the humor. I'm about to start the 2nd book!!!

Very enjoyable, light read

If you like books about the supernatural in an easy to get through story then this is for you.
This book is a lighthearted ghost story with likeable, interesting characters and a good plot. I also loved the narrator.
I would have liked it to have been edited a little better as there were a couple of whoopsies that could have been avoided, like the scary ghost's name being used before it was revealed, and a couple of word mixups and contradictions. I also think it's a bit short and would have liked it to be a bit longer, although I don't think it was really missing anything. It's a light read but I enjoyed it for what it was.

Felt like old friends

As a follow up to Holly and Adams adventures in Beachwood Harbor. This felt like picking up on town happenings and gossip with Gwen

Fun & light listen.

This is a fun fiction where ghosts are the predominant theme. Who can see and talk to ghost? Scarlet can. Danielle Garrett offers a book with quirky characters, a couple of handsome wannabe suitors and murder that no one knew about for over 20 years. Then the read is performed by Amanda Ronconi. I'd listen to about anything she narrates. The entire series is a fun read to do more than once.

Scarlet is Refreshing

I like Scarlet's story thus far. I feel like this book really set the stage for a strong character. I am meh on the love interest, but maybe it will grow or change as time goes on.

It’s a COZY mystery people!

First of all I have to start with I love Amanda Ronconi’s narration.
Second, this is a cozy mystery. A cozy mystery is characterized by its quaint setting, amateur sleuth, and emphasis on solving puzzles rather than graphic violence or sexual situations.
This author did an amazing job keeping your attention without the smut.
You should read her other works too! I like her witchy stuff. These books are putting me in a Halloween mood!

Thoroughly enjoyed

While this story might have a lot of “fluff”, it isn’t lacking in substance. Sometimes a story where the characters are so genuinely likable and care about each other is just as important as a thoughtful mystery, and this has both. While the mystery isn’t the deepest one out there, it’s certainly made a lot more fun with the involvement of ghosts and wondering where the protagonist’s power comes from.

As someone who is often not a fan of romance elements for their cheesiness, I found this one a lot of fun for the love interest’s humor and strength along with the protagonist’s equal strength and thought they meshed well together.

Overall, the narration was very enjoyable and the story was fantastic, especially if you want a nice, cozy mystery without overly harsh elements. A great book to relax to without having your intelligence insulted.
