I thought I’d be a laughingstock and my career would be finished. But I stepped through the fears and shared my truth with the world. The book went viral. Amazing people all over bought copies for friends and family. For some, this book saved their lives. For others, it was the first time they ever loved themselves.

Joanna Gaines' new book, The Stories We Tell, invites us on an authentic and deeply vulnerable journey into her story—and helps shine a light on the beauty of our own—guiding us to release the weights that hold us back so we may live and share our story in truth. We've all dropped anchor in places that suited us for a time: a city, a perspective, a lie we mistook as truth. This book is an invitation to a kind of life where you know how to hold what you believe—about yourself and the quiet worlds behind the people you pass—with gracious and open hands.

In this warm, wise book, Prem Rawat teaches us how to turn down the noise to “hear ourselves” - to listen to the subtle song of peace that sings inside each of us. Once we learn to truly “hear ourselves” and the voice of peace within, then we can hold on to that as we face all the noise of the world. The culmination of a lifetime of study, Hear Yourself lays out the crucial steps we can use to focus on the voice within.

I highly recommended reading this book
5 star, pure wisdom! This book gave me great insights on how our mind works. It's a great combination of scientific research, philosophy and psychology of today diving deep to figure out what really makes us happy. I highly recommended reading this book

Personal development and self-help books
I've read so far could be split into the "what" type, and the "how" type. The "how" books focus on a particular skill or personality component (e.g., productivity, relationships, persuasion, ...) and aim to help with developing them.

I love this book. I truly do!
It is a combination of the three subjects I think about most: psychology, philosophy, and religion.
In the Happiness Triangle the (humble) author brings together theories of the past, the theories of religion, and updates them with understandings from psychology.

Value for money
The author also tries to draw lessons from these theories that are still applicable in our lives today.
