Daniel Silva Does It Again

If you could sum up The Heist in three words, what would they be?

Interesting, Entertaining, Suspendfull !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Who was your favorite character and why?

As always, Gabriel !!

Which scene was your favorite?

The ending. Kept wanting more

Any additional comments?

As reviews mentioned same old story, same ending. Couldn't be so wrong. George was great. Great Book. I hope Daniel doesn't wait too long for the next one.

One of Silva's best

Riveting story, great narration. Seems a bit faster-paced for a Gabriel novel, which makes it that much more thrilling. Many of the same characters from The English Girl appear here, and play more involved roles. Really love this series, and this one is top-notch.

Gabriel's back and better then ever.

Where does The Heist rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Not sure what you mean by rank.

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

It did. What would happen to the girl, I wondered? Would they get to her in time?

Which character – as performed by George Guidall – was your favorite?

Everyone. He's excellent with accents.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Nope.

Any additional comments?

None.

Good story well read

Another fine Allon story. Less action, characters middling developed but the backdrop and historical background are excellent.

a good story,well written

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

this book is the first Silva novel I have heard. It has an excellent story line with lots of turns and subplots.

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Heist?

The old woman who tells of the future is in this and other Silva books.

Have you listened to any of George Guidall’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I have heard George Guidall's readings previously and always like the low key of his readings

Any additional comments?

I have discovered that one can choose any of the series without missing out on the whole story line. I plan to listen to the whole series.

Prepares you for books to come

does not have the danger surrounding every movement, seems to sum up past books and hints at future stories. I for one can hardly wait.Would give a higher rating except I have great difficulty understanding George Guidall

Almost Great

I voted 4 stars but I confess I skipped all the domestic subplot diversions because they're unconvincing and unnecessary to the story. I suppose Silva's editor insists on including these for the 'female' audience, which I think is very patronizing, and they weaken an otherwise excellent story. Not having listened to a Silva novel for more than a year or so I was reminded by this book what a fine story teller he is - and I plan to re-listen to others now that I've figured out how to separate the gold from the dross.
