feeling healthier and more connected already
I am a nurse. I am not opposed to western medicine, but I am also aware that taking a med for one problem might lead you to a side effect requiring another med, which can cause a secondary condition, etc. I think modern medicine leaves out basic healthy lifestyle choices and turns to prescriptions too quickly. Anyway, I wanted to learn more about how I could improve my own health with natural remedies. This book has been an excellent resource! Just engaging in these practices is making me feel a better mind-body connection. I'm feeling more peaceful and calm. I'm excited to see if these immune boosters really help through the next cold season!

Great book for all curious about herbs and a more holistic lifestyle!
I like this book because it leans towards the safe side on recommendations and usage of herbs, which I loved because it helps increase confidence to apply what you learn about common herbs for cooking and how to be careful with plants, like the poisonous morning glory seeds. The narrator also has a lovely soothing voice, so it feels like you’re listening to a friend.
