About this listen

Don't trust everyone you meet here…

A young British backpacker goes missing on the West Coast Trail.

No one is sure whether she died or simply disappeared.

Apart from Laura.

Twenty years later, a body has been found.

And there's only one person who could reveal the secret that Laura's been hiding all this time.

But she knows that two can keep a secret.

IF ONE OF THEM IS DEAD.

A tense and suspenseful thriller perfect for fans of M.J. Ford and Susi Holliday.

Didn't like a bad language. It isn't needed if a person has a vocabulary. JS

Jenny Blackhurst's "The Final Wife" was a surprise 5-star audiobook for me.

"The Hiking Trip" was a surprise 2.5-star audiobook.

Nobody bats 1000%, including talented authors.

I was not the right reader for this audiobook.

This book had a dizzying dual timeline, too many characters, satanic elements, and repetitive text.

I prefer pacy thrillers with fewer well-developed characters.

I also do not enjoy books with satanic elements.

Although Sara Poyzer did a superb job with the narration, the book would have benefited from a multi-cast narration.

2.5 stars.

Disappointing!
