About this listen

"The House on Christmas Street", the beloved Christmas song heard 'round the world, is now a novel!

Don Cassidy is an award-winning Christmas decorating enthusiast living in hot, sunny Florida. When he and his family move to Maine, Don dreams of finally seeing his holiday display amid the falling snow for the first time. Unfortunately, he has moved across the street from local busybody Muriel Michaud, a retired teacher who loves to spy on the comings and goings of the folks in their fast-changing neighborhood.

When Don begins to create an elaborate Christmas display in September, it immediately becomes a focus for all of Muriel’s pent-up frustrations, and she starts a campaign to shut the display down, dragging her reluctant husband into the fray with her. Will Muriel and Don reach a compromise? And, most importantly, will their battle further divide the community, or will the residents band together to find friendship and, perhaps, love, in the midst of neighborly dysfunction?

The House on Christmas Street dazzles us with the lights and spectacle of Christmastime, while also reminding us that the holiday season is not just about what we see with our eyes, but, more importantly, what we see with our hearts.

It is appear any that she really connects with these characters which makes for an easy listening experience. This book is a wonderful way to get into the holiday spirit and I would highly recommend giving it your time.

Singer and now author

1. I've had the pleasure of meeting Judy in person, what a warm friendly soul. This all translates to her work as well as a singer, songwriter, teacher, and now author.

2. The book is a great story, and read very well by Judy herself, no one better to do so in my opinion, (minus James Earl Jones :-) ). But seriously Judy know the spirit of the characters and brings them from the page to life in the audiobook rendition.

3. Story inspired by her super popular Christmas song, of the same title, which is used in many Christmas displays across the USA and beyond.

I say give it a listen and enjoy the spirit of the holiday season, with a good read/listen.
