From Plant Killer to Plant Whisperer

I've always loved the look and feel of a home with vibrant, beautiful plants, but every time I brought a plant home it inevitably shriveled up and died within a month or two. Strange that I can keep two tiny humans alive, but plants seemed to evade me. That is, until reading this book! I finally understand the different plant varieties, and which would be best for my home (I live in a desert). The practical information was easy to understand and implement and helped me fill in the gaps in my understanding. I've happily been able to keep 2 plants alive and am slowly starting to expand my collection of living plants in my home thanks to this book. I'm on my way to having a lush home filled with beautiful plants, and I highly recommend this book to all unintentional plant killers.

Beauty instead of Beast

Humanity Publications has written a great book. The narration by Deanna Heise is excellent. In fact the narration is so good that while i was listening to the book i was taking notes. The narration required very little to no rewinding and/or pausing on my part!!! Great Job.

So i have killed more plants in my office than i care to count. Why ?? i had no idea what i was doing. Over watering, under watering, too much sun, not enough sun or heck i wasn't talking to the plants right......Seriously though it was a major problem and getting expensive.

Thanks the Humanity Publications and this book i am confident i will keep my office looking more beautiful and surround my self with a comfortable feeling instead of just cold blank floors and walls. For me the idea of properly potting plants was so foreign. I just bough my plants at a nursery and put them in the pot that i thought looked the best. But just because it looks good doesn't mean it will be right for the plant. This was the best takeaway i got from the book. Having the proper Pot, amount of soil etc.

Thank you for writing such a great book. I will highly recommend it to every/any one.!!!!

Now my breakfast nook will stay alive!

I've been trying to keep my breakfast nook cheerfully full of different plants, but I don't have a green thumb. This audiobook is the key to meeting all my different plants' needs. Outdoor plants are so much more hearty than their indoor counterparts, and now I won't have to keep guessing what they want. This would make a great gift!

Bring nature home

I love that this book is written from the author's personal experience. In today's world, we talk about nature like something you choose to engage with or not, depending on your mood, and I get where that comes from. In this book, though, you get a more accurate sense of thinking about plants - we need them like they need us. If you want to create a houseplant collection, I think this book will suit you. You will be guided to choose your first plant, suitable for where you are, care for it, and then you'll be able to use the same principles to get as many more plants as it pleases you.
