About this listen

The Wraith Kings saga continues.

The demonic horde that threatened to devour the world has been defeated, but at great cost.

Plagued by guilt and nightmares, Serovek Pangion sets out to deliver the soulless body of the monk Megiddo to the heretical Jeden Order for safekeeping. Accompanying him is sha-Anhuset, the Kai woman he admires and desires most - a woman barely tolerant of him.

Devoted to her regent, Anhuset reluctantly agrees to act as a Kai ambassador on the trip, even though the bold margrave known as the Beladine Stallion gets under her skin like no other, and Anhuset fears he'll worm his way into her armored heart as well.

But guilt and unwelcome attraction are the least of their problems. The demons thought vanquished are stirring again, and a warlord with blood-soaked ambition turns a journey of compassion into a fight for survival. When the Beladine king brands Serovek a traitor, Anhuset must choose between sacrificing the life of a man she's grown to love and abandoning lifelong fealty to the Kai people.

A tale of loyalty and acceptance.

wait for it

it starts slow but gets really good. it starts slow burn since Ahnuszet is really freaked out by human eyes, but once she decides she's in, there's no frustrating waffling will they won't they. this book was a surprise to me since I thought the series was over, but now I feel like we need at least one more book.

Excellent ending to the trilogy.

Satisfied with the third book. Good tale done well. Narrator is good but not great. However, the author managed to keep me hooked and the ending was exciting .

Great read!

Finally got to read the story about Serovek Pangion & sha-Anhuset! Returning Megiddo's body to his fellow monks of the Jeden Order comes with danger lurking from several directions, lies & betrayals, & a growing love on this non-stop adventure. This story did not disappoint! I love this world & it's characters.

Another beautiful book from a wonderful author

It is books like these that have ruined me for lesser quality stories. I fear that if I never settled for books that weren't written at this quality, I'd read far fewer books.
This is another wonderful story from intelligent author filled with with intriguing characters and an interesting storyline. It is set in a unique world and is as exciting as it is meaningful.
Definitely one of my favorite authors.

A good ending sorta!

While I enjoyed this tale it was not as good to me as the first two books, as it sometimes ran off the story line into details that could be easily left out. But I enjoyed the book and look forward to other stories by this author. I also liked the reader and her accent.

So Gooooood!

Gabrielle Baker is a great voice actor and really brings the story to life. That being said I think I love Serovek and Anhuset more than I love Brishen and Ildiko! I loved every bit of this story and man did it hit me in feels. The ribbon stuff was such a poke in the heart. Anhuset is so strong and I loved that Serovek was not diminished at all by her. They really do make a great team. I was also glad we got to see the softer side to Anhuset, like seeing her examine her changing feelings toward Serovek. I also freaking loved their banter. It had me chucking all through the book. There is so much that happens in this book and I am very excited to see where the Wraith Kings end up.

Amazing read!!

This was an amazing book. I just love the drama, the banter, the action, and even the steamy parts. Oh! and you will want to keep going to unravel the mystery. Worth a credit and the long hours of listening kept me focus on a very long day of work. ❤️
