On a quiet afternoon in the park, four-year-old Joey plays in the sandbox, when a stranger approaches looking for his puppy. Soon other prizewinning bulls are butchered on the outskirts of the city, each bearing a similar drawing. The investigations converge at the same time a catastrophic hurricane looms in the Gulf. Finally, as dangerous winds and torrential rains pummel the city, Sarah is forced to risk her life to save Joey.

The Killing Storm (Sarah Armstrong, #3), my third read/listen from author Kathryn Casey. Another well-written mystery/suspense with captivating, well-developed characters. Narrator Debbie Andreen’s talented narration again adds greatly to the book’s enjoyment. I was given an Audible copy of this book & am voluntarily reviewing it. I’ll be reading more in this series. With every book written Casey gets better & better. (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018).
