About this listen

In appearance Hercule Poirot hardly resembled an ancient Greek hero. Yet, reasoned the detective, like Hercules, he had been responsible for ridding society of some of its most unpleasant monsters.

So, in the period leading up to his retirement, Poirot makes up his mind to accept just 12 more cases: his self-imposed "Labors". Each would go down in the annals of crime as a heroic feat of deduction.

always fun. Hugh Frazier always great

fun to read some Poirot that are not murders. also a joy to have a dozen quick mysteries in one book where one doesn't have to remember so much for its entire length
fun read

Superb as usual!

While some stories ended rather abruptly, each was delightful and ingenious! I thoroughly enjoyed listening!

Hugh Fraser had excellent voices for the variety of male and female characters.

I wish that the names of the chapters had been included instead of only the chapter numbers. Twelve of the thirteen chapters were named after the Twelve Labours of Hercules and the stories were tied into them. However, I frequently found it hard to remember which labor the chapter I was reading was about.

Collection of short stories

I am not a big fan of short stories, so I did not like this book as a whole. Some of the stories are worth it, some I skipped. I read this book because I want to read all the Poirot's, I would not recommend this book unless you are a fan already.

Quite brilliant

I think one of the very best Poirot collections. Highly original, cleverly plotted, very well narrated. A true favorite.

Fun Stories

Very fun different stories about Hercules and his labors. I loved the voice performance by Hugh Fraser.

A clever book.

Another great performance by Hugh Frasier, and a very clever concept by Agatha Christie. Time well spent.

enjoyable, though not as immersive as her longer s

I did enjoy this Agatha Christie book, but the stories are somewhat short, and somewhat less satisfying.
