Wonderfully adapted from the play!

As all Agatha Christie, the story itself was wonderful fun with fantastic characters. An adaptation of a play is not always successful, but this certainly was. Hugh Fraser was his usual joy to listen to. In all ways, a totally enjoyable listening experience.

When first we practice to deceive.

The humor and twists are a delightful distraction in this tale of an evening full of surprises.

Very humorous

This is a very humorous story. Hugh Fraser does an amazing job giving all the characters distinct voices and characters.

I love British TV whodunits. These characters are so well written and spoken that you can really "see" them in your minds eye.

Now one of my favorites

Mrs Christie has done it again. Superb puzzle, engaging characters, and believable, even inviting setting. What a great romp. I’ve listened 3 times and will do so again and again.

At times, I laughed out loud.

The characters and Fraser’s narration are why I so enjoyed this audio book. Even if just to experience the often amusing lines from Clarissa and Mrs. Peake (especially Mrs. Peake), it’s worth a listen.

Loved it...

A nice short 4hr murder mystery that kept me guessing right up to the end.
Loved to hear Hugh Frasier reading Agatha Christie stories, even those not featuring Hercule Poirot and Captain Hastings. Very entertaining!

Very enjoyable!

I really enjoyed this one. I loved the gardener woman, she was funny. I wasn't sure if it would work well when I read it was an adaptation from a play, but it was great. Worth the credit even though it was short.
