About this listen

Three of the brightest stars of historical romance invite you to a party at the country home of the Honorable Marquess of Finchley.

Hugh Dunne, the Earl of Briarly, needs a wife, so his sister hands him a list of delectable damsels and promises to invite them and a few other gentlemen to her country house for what is sure to be the event of the season.

Hugh will have time to woo whichever lady he most desires . . .Unless someone else snatches her first.

The invitation list includes:

  • The horse-mad but irresistibly handsome Earl of Briarly
  • The always outspoken Miss Katherine Peyton
  • The dashing war hero Captain Neill Oakes
  • The impossibly beautiful (and painfully shy) Miss Gwendolyn Passmore
  • The terribly eligible new Earl of Charters
  • The widowed Lady Georgina Sorrell (who has no plans to marry, ever)

And your hostess, Lady Carolyn Finchley, an irrepressible matchmaker who plans to find the lady most likely . . .to capture her brother's untamed heart.

Nice Romance

I read these Regency Romances after I've listened to more intense books for a light, no thinking, enjoyable read. This is not my usual genre. This one was fun and a while you figured out the romance duos at the beginning, it was interesting to see how the authors got to each end point. The narration was good and I would have to say this was a really nice book to listen too.

I love house party stories!

The premise is simple, and simply fun too. Three love stories by three great historical romance writers. It's a tiny bit complicated as each story bounces back in time to set up the story that is unfolding but it's followable. All three tales weave together to make a house party quite entertaining.

NARRATOR : Rosalyn Landor is so perfectly suited to regency Era romance that it's natural.

HEAT FACTOR: quite warm.

CREDITWORTHY? : Yes, in my opinion.

Lots of Lusty Love

It is a story about a matchmaker and a house full of lady's and gents needing to be matched up. Some humorous parts, but mostly the chase and submission of falling in love/lust . Each couple gets their own love scene with plenty of hot touching. My favorite parts of the book however were those with witty banter at the dinner table, and getting to hear inside 3 very different women's heads as they fall for the respected gentlemen we all know from the start HAS to be hers if the world were perfect and fair. Fun read.

Love the writing, story ok

Always like reading anything written individually by this trio. Guess I’m just not a fan of the novella fom, even disguised as a novel. Too lite, without real character and plot development. Not the writers’ fault. Tis the constraint of this format.

Ok considering they're three short stories

This title was just ok for me. It's nice to see that three different authors are able to write three stories and interlock them seamlessly. That said since these are three romance stories covering the span of a weekend then the remanded are not well developed. They seemed forced to me. It went from hello to marry me in a heartbeat. The narrator did a very good job as always but the stories fell short for me.

Nice and light!

this was a quick listen and I bought it because of the narator mostly. I enjoyed it, however this would have been a good anthology, I did not like that 3 authors are writing the same story even if there are different couples involved.
