About this listen

Ashera del Cid is a talented demon hunter, but when she kills a demigod's pet dragon, the hunter becomes the hunted. Her only potential ally is Ramiel, a sexy-as-hell demon. Now the two must work together to battle dragons and demigods…and the chemistry crackling between them.

Ramiel has his own reasons for offering Ashera his protection. He knows her true identity and the real reason the demigods want her dead. What he can't predict is how she'll react when she discovers he knew who she was all along....

Ashera is shocked to discover that she is the only daughter of the last slayer. To claim her destiny, she and Ramiel must join forces to face down danger and outwit their enemies. Only then will she be able to truly accept her legacy.

Sex Magic

Is there anything you would change about this book?

I just finished listening to this audiobook. I enjoyed the plot and the story. The one thing I would change is the graphical sex between demons/humans/demi-gods.

What other book might you compare The Last Slayer to and why?

At times I was feeling this book along the lines of Jim Butcher's The Dresden Files or Ilona Andrews Magic Bites series.

What about Eve Bianco’s performance did you like?

I enjoyed the multiple voices and the mood she was able to create with her voice.

If this book were a movie would you go see it?

Yes. Not with my kids, but yes.

Any additional comments?

Magic is fueled by sex. I think this is a nice twist on things, but it was so graphic at times I found myself constantly stopping so my kids would not hear.

Worth a listen...two many unanswered questions!!!!

I liked the book. It did take me a while to finish it.
I felt the author did not think the book through. They were some areas that I thought needed improvement like the name for the potion the character drank to power up. I also felt there needed more back stories on the main characters, not just on how they are so into each other or how they are not. There was a lot of talk about flirting and sexual tension that I was getting annoyed. I did enjoy the book but not as much as I would have if the character wasn't so annoying about how she looked and how her sister was so much more beautiful then she was. And how people never liked her just for her. That they always wanted something from her and so on. It did get on my nerves. They were also to many unanswered questions and I know the authored did that so we would want to buy the next one but I felt like nothing was resolved. Yes there was a ending, they achieved their goal that was set in the beginning. But I did not get that complete feeling when you finish a book and waiting to see what happen next. I felt like I stop reading in mid book.

I dont want you think I did not like the book, it was just missing something. If audible does provide the other books; I will be getting them in hopes some of my questions will be answered. Also I am hoping their will be more then complaining. This is just my take on it.

It does have great fantasy and some interesting views on magic in a modern world. Sexy men and dragons always gets a thumps from me.

Dull and Boring

This was very hard to listen to. While I thought the Eve Bianco narrated the story ok. The story itself was very dull and I could not make it past the first couple of hours.

Incomplete

I liked this story and it was a good start to a series but I gave it one star overall because it seems as though the author dropped the series and now all we are left with is a cliffhanger.
