About this listen
When Mr. Darcy and Colonel Fitzwilliam visit Lady Catherine, Charlotte and the Colonel conspire to help Elizabeth and Mr. Darcy reach an understanding before the visit ends. In the process, Charlotte falls in love with the Colonel, and learns that he cares for her as well! Alas, their love is doomed, as Charlotte is very much married.
When Mr. Bennet dies, Charlotte and Mr. Collins soon find themselves living at Longbourn. But life at Longbourn is far more complicated than they ever imagined, as Mrs. Bennet refuses to leave the house, and Lydia Bennet arrives on their doorstep very pregnant, but not married.
While the Darcys, the Bingley and the Gardiners do their best to help Charlotte deal with the troubles at Longbourn, it is ultimately up to Charlotte – plain, sensible Charlotte – to set things right.
This is a full-length novel of over 90,000 words.

An unbelievable thing has just happened at Meryton’s Assembly Ball. A feather worked its way loose from Miss Bingley’s turban, swooping unerringly for Mr. Darcy’s unprotected eye! Instinctively, the gentleman in question raised his hand and stepped backward to avoid the object, tripping Miss Elizabeth Bennet and then falling upon her prone form. Scandalous! A marriage must occur, of course. But he does not want to marry an unknown country miss and she most certainly does not want to marry the proud, dour Mr. Darcy. Story
So much in life depends on chance and sheer luck. How much do we often owe to being in the right place at the right time? In Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice, Elizabeth Bennet plans to visit the Lake District with her uncle and aunt, yet ends up at Pemberley instead, just as, by coincidence, Mr Darcy also arrives home. They meet, understand one another better and all eventually ends well. But what if they did not have such luck? What if Elizabeth actually went to the Lake District and was nowhere near Pemberley, and she and Mr Darcy never met again until another four years had gone by? Now...

As a child, Elizabeth Bennet's years were split into two distinct segments: her normal life with four rambunctious sisters in Hertfordshire, and summers in Derbyshire on the estate of her father's friend Mr. Darcy. Summertime meant peaks to explore, horses to ride, a library full of books, and friends unlike anyone she knew at home. It was an idyllic escape - until the year that everything came crashing down and summers at Pemberley became no more than a fading memory. Story
Of Whispers and Wisdom is yet another sweet, clean, low-angst novella of 47,000 words. No major villains, just a gentle love story told from a Christian perspective in the usual style of Jae George. Excerpt: “Mama, I won’t cause any problems, I promise,” pleaded twenty-year-old Elizabeth Bennet pleaded as she struggled to comprehend what her parents were saying during their argument in the family’s small parlor. Her father’s words were easy enough to catch, but her mother’s shrill voice was garbled and beginning to give Lizzy a headache. While twisting her head between Mr. and ...

Story
When Fitzwilliam Darcy makes an impetuous offer of marriage to Miss Elizabeth Bennet, he is convinced they have as good a chance as any for a harmonious life together. That is, until an overheard conversation changes everything, and Darcy realizes he is now joined in perpetuity to a woman who loathes the very sight of him. Elizabeth Bennet's expectations for matrimonial accord were never very high, having accepted Mr. Darcy's proposal in a fit of pique, not love. Still, she is determined to make the best of her situation. But life at Pemberley is not at all what she imagined.

Pleasant Story
Enjoyable Pride and Prejudice spin off from the perspective of Charlotte Lucas. Only downside was the emotionless artificial narration. Bearable if listened to at 1.2x speed. I plan to “read” other novels from this author.

Captivating story
I was wrapped up in the book from the beginning. This was the best virtual narration I have listened to so far.
The writing was excellent. I felt as if Charlotte was talking to me personally. Charlotte is the star and Lydia turns out to be the costar. The writer does a masterful job bringing all the familiar characters to life. Most characters are somewhat different than I anticipated but usually in a good or better than expected way. Don’t miss listening to this book- I predict you will love it.

Closest to actual P&P “Life goes on” Entries!
Char, the Woman accomplished “Sow’s Ear into Silk Purse” per Eliz ref to Mr Collins. Just a marvelous con’t of Longbourne, Bennet’s et Al. Minus the wickedness & screeching, Fanny’s a bygone memory. In her stead are very wise choices & lives lived thoughtfully & w/ grace.

Really liked this one! Charlotte is such an interesting character
So glad someone thought to write a book about Charlotte, who I always thought was really intriguing. This story was really good and not cheesy like a lot of the variations. I’ve read. I’ll never be a fan of virtual narration because it doesn’t capture the emotion of a story, but the rest of it was really captivating.

Horrifically selfish Darcys, Bingleys, Gardners, etc.
"Let's dump spoiled, angry Mrs. Bennet on the Collins. We sure don't want to be bothered with her." Basically, that's the storyline. And after Fanny reeks havoc, just wait until Lydia shows up out of nowhere. What a s**t show.

Deserves a human voice
Having read a ton of Austin variations, I would rate this as a pretty decent story. Not a ton of action, but I felt that the author has been true to the characters that we all know so well.
the virtual voice was really hard to tolerate. it made all of the dialogue difficult to follow due to the lack of variation in the voice itself. The lack of dynamism of a bad narrator has a negative impact on the story as an audiobook.
I would read more titles by this author if they weren’t all virtual voiced. This was the first book that I’ve listened to with an AI narrator and it will be my last.
