Story
Elizabeth Bennet is living a lie. She’s known since she was fifteen that she isn't truly a Bennet, but who is she? Are the people and places that appear in her dreams just a sign of her active imagination, or are they memories of her true family? Could the stories she'd told Jane when they were children not be stories at all?

Story
Miss Caroline Bingley has long been a thorn in the side of Fitzwilliam Darcy's friendship with Charles Bingley; the visit to Netherfield Park to help Bingley learn the craft of an estate manager has all the potential for disaster. But Darcy will not shirk, for his friendship with Bingley outweighs his distaste for the man's sister. In his defense, Darcy enlists his manservant, a man equally committed to ensure Miss Bingley will not become his master's wife.

It’s 1984, and life has changed beyond recognition. Airstrip One, formerly known as Great Britain, is a place where Big Brother is always watching, and nobody can hide. The 13 chapters of The Art of War, each devoted to one aspect of warfare, were compiled by the high-ranking Chinese military general, strategist, and philosopher Sun-Tzu. In spite of its battlefield specificity, The Art of War has found new life in the modern age, with leaders in fields as wide and far-reaching as world politics, human psychology, and corporate strategy finding valuable insight in its timeworn words.

Story
Lucas knows the perfect night entails just three things: video games, wine, and pad thai. Peanuts are a must! Other people? Not so much. Why complicate things when he’s happy alone? Then one day the apartment board, a vexing trio of authority, rings his doorbell. And Lucas’s solitude takes a startling hike. They demand to see his frying pan. Someone left one next to the recycling room overnight, and instead of removing the errant object, as Lucas suggests, they insist on finding the guilty party. But their plan backfires. Colossally.

Story
Who is Audrey Hoedemaker? It's a question her sister Maureen has heard more times than she can count, and she doesn't know what the short answer would be. Little sister, troubled teen, backpacker, musical theatre coach, con artist, childcare worker. Murderer. A tragic, traumatic childhood casts a long shadow on the Hoedemaker sisters. Maureen has worked hard to move beyond the violence of the past and build a good, honest life for herself. Audrey, however, just can't seem to do the same, careening from one state of chaos to another.

Story
Still shaken from his horrible proposal, Elizabeth Bennet falls ill at the Rosings Parsonage upon reading Fitzwilliam Darcy’s letter. In her increasingly delirious state, unfathomable influences inspire her to write an impulsive response. The letter gives Mr. Darcy hope in a way that nothing else could. As her illness progresses, Darcy is there at her side, crossing boundaries he has never crossed, declaring things he has never declared. A unique experience bridges them over their earlier misunderstandings, and they start to work out their differences. That is, until Elizabeth begins to ...

One warning, two cautions, and a note: WARNING: In deference to a truth universally acknowledged that men do not behave the same when no women are present as they do in mixed company, this vagary does have occasional uses of profanity. The men in my life would consider it amusing but naïve to afford the same semantics of conversation for wholly different circumstances such as these, or they would should one of them choose to read it. This vagary proposes an alternate telling of the original Pride and Prejudice and considers what may have happened should the characters have been afforded a ...

Story
When Fitzwilliam Darcy makes an impetuous offer of marriage to Miss Elizabeth Bennet, he is convinced they have as good a chance as any for a harmonious life together. That is, until an overheard conversation changes everything, and Darcy realizes he is now joined in perpetuity to a woman who loathes the very sight of him. Elizabeth Bennet's expectations for matrimonial accord were never very high, having accepted Mr. Darcy's proposal in a fit of pique, not love. Still, she is determined to make the best of her situation. But life at Pemberley is not at all what she imagined.

To Wake The Sleeping Dragon WARNING: There are no actual Dragons in this Book Napoleon crowned himself Emperor of France in December of the year 1804, he said to a room of his closest advisors and supporters, ‘China is a sleeping dragon, let her sleep for when she awakens, she will shake up the world!’ Those words set a chain of events that would change the destiny of several of England’s most prominent families. And the lives of a country squire and his small family of daughters, in ways they could have never dreamed possible. Thomas Bennett is a man whose entire life had fallen ...

Story
An unbelievable thing has just happened at Meryton’s Assembly Ball. A feather worked its way loose from Miss Bingley’s turban, swooping unerringly for Mr. Darcy’s unprotected eye! Instinctively, the gentleman in question raised his hand and stepped backward to avoid the object, tripping Miss Elizabeth Bennet and then falling upon her prone form. Scandalous! A marriage must occur, of course. But he does not want to marry an unknown country miss and she most certainly does not want to marry the proud, dour Mr. Darcy. Can they find their way to one another despite this inauspicious ...

One warning, two cautions, and two notes: WARNING: Portions of this book focus on some of George Wickham’s worst crimes against young ladies. While the revenge taken is not fully or graphically detailed, it is extreme. “He had certainly formed such a plan, and without meaning that it should effect his endeavour to separate him from Miss Bennet, it is probable that it might add something to his lively concern for the welfare of his friend.” Pride & Prejudice, chapter 45 This vagary proposes an alternate path for the characters of Pride and Prejudice. VV not too bad and Story is Very Interesting
I dislike Virtual Voice, but it wasn’t too bad in this audiobook. Has the technology improved? This Unusual and Very Interesting Variation makes the VV issues tolerable. I really enjoyed this version of P&P with the Bennett family so much more intelligent, harmonious and even wealthier than in canon. The story held my attention throughout.

Finally… a story about industry and inventions!
I really liked the story line. I loved Elizabeth as an inventor and would want to see even more development in that area.

I loved this scenario. It’s nice to have an Elizabeth that is allowed to showcase her intelligence and worthiness. Too many Jaff stories have a shrewish unreasonably demanding and unforgiving character. It makes one wonder what would make a man of Darcy’s status interested in her since she is bringing nothing tangible to the table. In some of these books I have thought he would be better off to walk away. His groveling too much to be believed. In this story I appreciated that the Bennet’s are much more important and palatable. I’ve had enough of the same tired exploits of Wickham, Lydia and Mrs. Bennet’s wailing. I found this book much more entertaining and appreciated the creativity and the notes to authenticate the events of the period. While I prefer a talented reader I did not find the VV intolerable. I prefer stories with all the Bennet sisters pretty and Charlotte attractive too. Lovely story that I very much enjoyed. Brava, well done.

Great story
I like the way the characters are portrayed and the wealth of the Gardeners and the Bennetts. Also liked that the Bennetts, including Mrs Bennett, were intelligent.
