About this listen

**An AudioFile Magazine Earphones Award-winning production**

A six-week Artist’s Way Program from legendary author Julia Cameron

"A book on better listening seems particularly suited for audio, and careful listeners will be rewarded." (Booklist)

The newest audiobook from beloved author Julia Cameron, The Listening Path is a transformational journey to deeper, more profound listening and creativity. Over six weeks, listeners will be given the tools to become better listeners - to their environment, the people around them, and themselves. The reward for learning to truly listen is immense. As we learn to listen, our attention is heightened and we gain healing, insight, clarity. But above all, listening creates connections and ignites a creativity that will resonate through every aspect of our lives.

Julia Cameron is the author of the explosively successful book The Artist’s Way, which has transformed the creative lives of millions of readers and listeners since it was first published. Incorporating tools from The Artist’s Way, The Listening Path offers a new method of creative and personal transformation.

Each week, listeners will be challenged to expand their ability to listen in a new way, beginning by listening to their environment and culminating in learning to listen to silence. These weekly practices open up a new world of connection and fulfillment. In a culture of bustle and constant sound, The Listening Path is a deeply necessary reminder of the power of truly hearing.

Great

I have done a few of Julia’s books, and this book was very rich in guidance.
I recommend it highly in our age of noise clutter.

Julia always makes me think on a deeper level, to stop and take in normal things that I take for granted, and really appreciate what I have and what I am experiencing. she is a great teacher. I really appreciate her sharing❤️

True Meaning

I liked the results of an unexplainable deeper expanded and more purposeful awareness of my life.
This book is highly recommended for anyone who wants to live their life full out. It brings more aspects of truly experiencing connection, compassion and growth. It has let me see my world beyond appearances, memories, thoughts and conditioned reactions...into curiosity, exploration, discovery, peace, and flow seasoned with fun and meaningful moments.
Five Stars on every level for this answer to my prayer for a purposeful life and dissolution of an internal struggle to “pay attention” and “listen/hear.”

Awful - So Disappointing!

After reading The Artists Way, which was AMAZING, we had such high hopes! My 4 sisters & I read these books together (via zoom because we each live in different places all around the USA & Japan, and we all agree... which is very rare! We read The Artist's Way together & learned so much & each of us had many wonderful life experiences as a result of applying the techniques learned in The Artist's Way! We would all highly recommend that book!

Eager to delve into another of Julia Cameron's books, we chose The Listening Path, with high hopes.... which were consistently dashed upon each chapter. We now know more about her dog "Lilly" and her salmon snacks than we ever needed or wanted to know, and not much about actually listening - to ANYTHING.

This book was largely written during the very isolating times of Covid, and shows some definite signs of senility. How this made it past the editors is beyond our understanding! If you are interested in reading what could have been Julia's daily journal (or, Morning Pages) during Covid, give this book a shot! If you want a monotonously ridiculous story about a dog, maybe this book is for you. If you want a book on LISTENING in any capacity whatsoever..... you're better off finding another one!

Little substance and endless petty personal anecdotes

If you want to learn about the author’s daily living in excruciating detail and very little about helpful techniques to improve your listening, this is your book.
