About this listen

In this long-awaited sequel to the international best seller The Artist's Way, Julia Cameron presents the next step in her course of discovering and recovering the creative self.

Walking in This World picks up where Julia Cameron's best-selling book on the creative process, The Artist's Way, left off to present readers with a second course, part two in an amazing journey toward discovering our human potential. Full of valuable new strategies and techniques for breaking through difficult creative ground, this is the "intermediate level" of the Artist's Way program.

A profoundly inspired work by the leading authority on the subject of creativity, Walking in This World is an invaluable tool for artists.

I like Julia Cameron's books in general, and have used my paper copies multiple times for group courses, but what really makes this audiobook shine, in my opinion, is Barbara Caruso's narration. I like her in general (her version of Anne of Green Gables is my favorite) and with this material, she adds a comforting, sensible tone that makes me feel like everything is going to be OK somehow...

All Cameron's Books Should be Narrated by Caruso

Just a long-awaited, beautiful follow-up to The Artist’s Way. Julia reminds of us of everything we need to hear. All of life’s great lessons are handed to us in a silver tray through this book. Thank you, Ms. Cameron, for setting me back on the path I had wandered away from.

Phenomenal

There was no struggle to finish, on the contrary...I wish there was much more. This book has inspired me to go back to writing for the sake of writing. An amazing read!

A great book that brings back hints of the Artist Way while also incorporating the importance of walking, going on solo dates and finding things that would stimulate & inspire the creative self. She also points out that all artists can have their down days that we find it challenging to create, and gives idea to manage those days.

She walks with you and open you to creativity

I enjoyed this book very much. As a shy artist, it thought me a lot, it got me out of the house, talking more walks and allowing me to paint with less criticism from the back of my head :)

Very inspiring!

Julia Cameron's material is, as always, excellent Barbara Caruso's reading is excellent. The production, however, is not divided into the same chapters as the paper book. for someone wishing to listen week by week, this is a terrible flaw.

Flawed Production of Excellent Material
